It makes me feel like i'm dancing.(maybe thats the music..heheh)I also really really like the muted color scheme. Its beautifully pastel, it makes me happy. I have been doing watercolor for a long time, and I would recommend not using water brushes for paintings like this, they are good for on the go. But for more studio paintings it is hard to get a flat wash with them, and also because they have continuous water flow make colors more watery as you continue to use them on ur pallet and in my experience they tend to eat up your paint

I like them because if you have paint on a regular brush and dip it in water, you lose pigment in the water. With water brushes, there's no waste of pigment. I do still use regular brushes for certain things though.

I just noticed on things like the beasts feet and jacket, the wash wasn't that even, by if that is what you like artist objective I was just recommending not using them, considering you have only started in watercolor and they are kinda difficult to control

Baylee Jae I also have water brushes (tho I'm still getting used to them) but I actually do the opposite of you with normal brushes I dip my brush in water then in the paint, but we all do things a bit differently. Though maybe you wouldn't lose the pigment that way, I'm not very sure.

I do the same you do, Brooklynn, and I've been using my grandfather's watercolors for the past 6 years with no issue, I don't waste that much pigment :)

I love what you did with the other characters on the clothing, the way I see it Mrs. Potts is in the foreground while others are in the background. But it just looks like they are celebrating in spirit and it gives me a happy feeling.

Love love LOVE how this came out. I like the other characters detail on their clothes but especially love the muted colors of the castle in the background. Oh, and the pale yellow wash under everything was genius!

This looks amazing! I especially love the muted tones, sets it apart of the typical primary blue and yellows that appears in Beauty and the Beast art. And the character patterns in the clothes is an inspired idea, I love it!

I really love this painting Bayley! I think it was totally worth using that expensive watercolour paper. I really like how you did te background in a circle because I feel like it represents and fits beauty and the beastI loved how u added other characters on the dress and jacket, it makes the painting your 'own' and not like a 'normal' piece of fan art. I really love how you don't draw what everybody else is drawing. Like in this picture you focused more on the Beast than Belle, and in your Moana picture you focused on Maui instead of Moana. It makes it so that it's not just another piece of run-of-the-mill fan art, and that's probably what I like the most about your art style. the whole wash thing with yellow was cool to hear bc thats what i do in my digital art! its cool to see i can relate my art to urs bc i often put a yellow overlay to unify my colours and i think ur right like.. using washs/overlays whether in traditional art or digital can be very helpful :-))))

Although I really liked the simplicity of the piece before the other characters were added in the clothing, I also really like how interesting the piece got one the characters were added. I really love the muted colors, as well. And the wash beforehand, outlining the dark and light tones, is a really cool technique!
