When I see the name Sir Michael Atiyah, I can confidently give it a thumbs up before it even starts. I would be delighted to listen to this fellow discuss picking strawberries.

Cardano discovered the magic of the complex number i, termed by Leibniz as 'an elegant and wonderful resource of divine intellect', enabled physicists to frame quantum mechanics, as the most effective physical theory, 'an unnatural birth in the realm of thought'. QM besides giving birth to the age of electronics, also enables physicists to discover how a SINGLE probability wave function govern everything and every process in the entire universe, from how migrating robin navigate to planets moving around their stars. Leibniz even went on to claim 'an amphibium between being and nonbeing' as physicists discover how the quantum field, self-simulate intelligent conscious 'observer', collapsing the field into fine tuned particles (matter), implying the Anthropic Principle (Leibniz's divine intellect), just as non-life matter, due to phase transition, transforms into life. In a paper on mathematics Boole wrote the 'Laws of Thought', in which he discovered the binary system of numbers 1 and 0, that proved indispensable, hundred years later, as the language of computers and led to the mathematics of quantum computers (QC), when superposition of quantum states called qubits, enabled us to discover how 50-70 billion cells are damaged/destroyed daily as these cells are repaired/regenerated at 99-99% efficiency and at lightning speed, implying life is a QC (as a self-error correcting system), just like the universe.
