There’s such a huge business around weddings and this ‘showey’ attitude but when you strip down everything that they tell you you ‘should’ be doing, all that is left is you and your partner. No one should EVER have to apologize for THEIR special day. When the ‘big event’ is over, all that is left is you and your partner. The rest of your lives is just you two, no one else is present for the ups and downs. So, I personally think more people should be selfish when it comes to their wedding. You are so right that the day was about you and Glen and that’s what mattered. My husband and I got married at City Hall....phoned my sister last minute to be a witness with her husband. We did this one month after he was diagnosed with a rare, incurable cancer. He had never been married, and always talked about it....I was not in a rush, but when this happened, I wanted to be his wife and give him that complete sense of “family. My only regret? Not being able to have a party/dinner for friends and family after. He was prone to infections which would come out of nowhere and result in a trip to the ER, so planning was difficult, even tho I knew the perfect spot for such an event. Part 2 of that regret was not getting to see him in a suit. He would have looked so dashing and handsome. He passed away 2 yrs and 6 months after that day......I’m glad we didn’t wait and try to plan. Moral of the story? Your wedding was beautiful and personal and intimate, and except for Glens Dad, had the people there that mattered the most. And....don’t save the good bottle of wine for a special occasion.....make today that occasion. But you’re a smart, grounded young woman and I feel you already know that! Many happy years to you both, full of love...from a fellow Canuck! ❤️🇨🇦

I've would do the same thing 😂😂 actualy when I got married, we invited everyone for a picnic and suprised everyone with a wedding ( when everyone came my husband told that we gonna have a picnic with delay beacuse we need to get married first and then I came down the stairs in my dress...we got married and later had a picnic) 😂😂 the best day of my life besides the birth of my son ❤❤

Karrisa, I am so jealous of your relaxed attitude re all this wedding day stuff and who will think what... and that you look at that in a way that it's just for the TWO of YOU. I do miss the makeup videos. I very rarely even wear makeup but seeing how you did certain looks gave me a bit of confidence to try them myself. I also just find them relaxing and enjoyable to watch. And I just want to say it made me genuinely happy when you posted you had eloped. You didn't let the world alter your timetable and did it just for you and Glen and that's how it should be. I was diagnosed with hashimoto's when I was 9. Its not that big of a deal as long as you are diligent about checking your levels. It can cause fertility issues, FYI. But as soon as my tsh was in the normal level (1 is optimal for hashimoto's according to my endocrinologist), I got pregnant immediately.

Following the Autoimmune Protocol diet and lifestyle has been a game changer for me. Reading all of the symptoms, I’ve been living with this pretty much all my life. This dosage now seems to be working and I have so much more energy right now! sadly, in Canada (I'm in Vancouver) for hashimoto's and thyroid tests, they only check 2 of the 6 tests if it 'falls in range' (the US does them all - ie: reverse t3 - we can pay to get it done, if we know to ask for it) gotta love Canada health care. Why they don't check it all frustrates me and my doctor too. ou are not alone. congrats on your marriage :)
