Pony is a delight to watch, I absolutely love her, and I wish more beauty "guru's" were like her. What makes Pony a cut above the rest is that she's a trained makeup artist, and you see this with Lisa Eldridge, Wayne Goss and Charlotte Tilbury, where they are so precise and deliberate; they know what they're doing while beauty guru's don't which is why they're always trying to "reinvent the wheel" so to speak.

@@eva_pe You're absolutely right and I commented on one of Robert's past videos saying that he shouldn't be apologising for saying there are rules to make up because he is the professional, while the people making the claims are not, and there is a science to beauty.

Don't know about Asia, but Bobby Brown has a Master Class where she teaches that if you have an even skin, you don't need foundation. Or you can use a small amount of foundation only in places where you need it the most. I do that sometimes, I'll use foundation only on the center of my face, where I have some redness and pores and it looks great, you just have to use the right color for you.

You can also really tell that beauty gurus often do makeup for the same situation. From what I've seen they do a lot of full glam that looks good on camera, so there's a lot of stuff that just doesn't translate to anything else. They're no doubt often creative and have a good grasp on things like colour but it just never feels like something I could or would apply to myself without looking like an absolute clown

I think a big difference between Koreans and Americans is that Koreans focus and invest a lot in skincare so that they don’t have to use as much makeup. Americans tend to not really think about skincare because it’s not as exciting as makeup (but because of this, they need more makeup to cover their skin). Does that make sense? I don’t know.

She and Michelle actually encouraged me to take care of my skin in order to get good results with makeup. No need for lasers, surgery, filler or botox. Just basic skin care. Make up should compliment the natural you, not covering you up completely and turn you to someone else. Violette and WayneGoss too. Seriously, stop with the baking and caking for everyday look. Personally, I only wear very minimal makeup on a daily basis (eyebrow pencil for my sparse brows, concealer for my dark under eye circles, and tinted lip balm for my very pale lips lol). Anyway, just an additional information, baking has been existing for as early as ancient egypt :0 surprising, right?

I absolutely adore the Welsh twins. Not only have they helped me.... An older lady, understand the complicate dworls of modern beauty and skincare but they have helped me teach my three spritelings and I am so grateful. Their, and Marcus's amazing voices completely boost my mood after a long day at work. Like vibing with fabulous friends.

I just discovered Pony Syndrome a couple of days ago. I watched one of her videos and was so impressed with her skills and sense of beauty. I subscribed to her channel. I am a 68 year old woman who rarely wears make up, but found Pony to be a brilliant artist. It truly is all about the skin. Robert this is my first time watching you and really like your style. Have subscribed.

Finally someone who UNDERSTANDS that James is not some god in the industry. He edits basically all makeup photos, and then you see his videos; he does nothing well

Alaa Atari 🙌🏻 🙌🏻 I totally agree!! He can’t even match his foundation! 🤣 n like not even where it’s just a lil off. It’s always SOOOOO different than the rest of his body! 🤦‍♀️ I have heard him admit he can’t do it well n tries to just hide his neck so it’s not as noticeable but still - don’t act like ur the most amazing MUA when u can’t even match ur foundation shade. 🤦‍♀️ N, like u said, he edits his photos so much that it’s flawless n looks amazing, but it’s never really like that!

Your piss was delicious agreed 100%. As an MUA who does these artistic editorial works on some clients, it’s just annoying when he claims to put all this work in but it’s facetune/photoshop.

I used to watch a lot of beauty gurus and makeup from 2014-2020 and I kinda just got bored after awhile. But I recently found your channel and you've really re-inspired me to get back into makeup. I'm done with beauty gurus lol (unless it's my auntie Jackie Aina) but I love your channel! New sub here.

@@felinemoonchild You're so right about it. It really did all get quite dramatic. All tea, I didn't mind it because I like shows like Bad Girls Club. 😅 But I get it being frustrating when that's not the kind of content you subbed to see. I wish I could recommend you more people to watch, but truly Robert is all I care about in the MUA space now. 💕

Tati has done several videos with Scott Barnes, and he also has commented on her nose contour not being necessary. She has said it’s just preference. She contours her nose because she likes to and likes the way it looks. I love her. I think she knows her face well and just knows what she likes.
