I always wondered why Bunny does it like that instead of using the way I've seen is more popular with placing a tissue over lips and using a brush to apply powder over it. It works for me, and I can't imagine pressing powder makeup onto your lips. Has anyone done it that way? Wouldn't it feel dry or cakey?

another great way to DIY matte nails is to paint your nails with a regular top coat and before it drys hold your nails over steam for 10-20 seconds super easy and costs nothing! Michelle phan did a video on it

I have also tried a technique I saw on Pinterest where you apply a normal top coat and, while still wet, hold the nails over boiling water. The steam helps them to try matte. This method works really well from my experience and it's great if you don't have cornstarch! :)

You paint your nails, place the sticky side of the Band-Aid on top and paint your nails with a different color. It's supposed to give you small, perfect dots. Thanks for listening!

you could also boil some water until there is steam, paint your nails and while they're wet, hold it over the steam until dry and matte

I feel that if you were to add the cornstarch to the bottle the way you did to make your own nail color with the powder eye shadow it might be better, you could add a little at a time and shake than with every little you add you can test it so you can see what amount suits you best. How hard is it to get off though El?

+kris rider Used 8 drops of top coat or a colourless Nail polish, and scraped the make up until a tiny heap formed you can say about a pinch, pinch and a half of make up. but you can add until the consistency looks enough to you. You will however need to shake it well if you make a full bottle of polish for you out of one colour and have to add quite a few coats to achieve full colour. But it will also make a great tinted clear coat in matte. Hope this helps. :)

What i do is i put on my top coat and when its semi dry, i sort of dump a little cornstarch on my nail. I think this way just requires less steps... It makes my nails matte until removed anyways :)

An easier method would be to paint on any color of nail polish and while it's still wet hover them over steam. The effects should happen instantly. To get the steam all you need to do is boil some water on the stove or you could even microwave a mug of water for 3 minuets and let the steam hit each nail. ~ Btw I love your chanel ^_^!!!

an easier way to get matte nails is to place your freshly painted nails (make sure their wet) over steam! I do it all the time and it's mess free!

wet n wild makes a GREAT matte top coat that is only 99 cents or 1.99 (i can't remember, but i'm pretty sure i got it for 99 cents). it only takes me one coat of it to make my nail polish matte and it dries wonderfully.
