This is a horror themed, RWS style tarot deck. The artwork pulls in a lot of the necessary details so it would be quite easy to read with these cards. The cardstock is very thin so you’ll have to be careful when shuffling them. Since they feel delicate and I don’t want them to get too damaged, I will probably just pull these out for horror fans and at Halloween. I think people who love metal music will also appreciate these cards because the artwork reminds me of some album covers. It’s a really unique deck to add to the list!

Thank you! Yes, I'm really hoping they'll come out with a thicker deck someday. That art is so well done and deserves some good cardstock.

I was leary of the card stock when I first opened it as well....and then I shuffled it....shuffles amazingly. Riffle and over-hand. Not sure how it would hold up over time but if feels decent, slight linen finish. The book is great, makes up for it. For a measly $20 it's 100% worth it. I think people have developed unrealistic expectations for such low priced decks.

@@tarottarantulas You're right. For the artwork, $20 is pretty reasonable and I just love the artist for this work. I believe there is a paper shortage right now which may have contributed to the level of cardstock they chose. It's definitely worth making note of though because there are other $20 decks that have come out recently that have higher quality cardstock. These are just so unique and it would be hard to find this style of art anywhere else for $20.

The pre orders got the deck earlier than the KS backers…also our decks and bags and reading cloths smell vile…I hope your deck is okay.

Oh no! Mine didn't smell bad at all. Was it a mildew smell? I've had that experience on KS before and it was awful.
