Thanks for this video. I didn't have the mirror flop problem, but I did send my RASA 8 back to Celestron for recalibration due to some optical problems. Now awaiting clear sky to test. Also just bought the Octopi Astro camera tilt adapter to test out. Looking forward to see how that works out.

Yeah welcome to the club. My back focus was off, so I added a 5mm adapter and got it to someplace just over 29mm. It's much better, still have tilt. Be careful in very cold temps screwing the camera very tightly to the scope. Last winter my camera got very stuck and required a hair dryer to make the metal expand enough to get it off. I still scratched my camera trying to get a better leveraged grip with a wrench for changing auto oil filters (not a great idea). I also had a RASA 8 tumble off of my wheeled scope buggy, and it was totaled. I have had all manner of power failures, and in general, if it could go wrong, it did go wrong. Now, I mostly feel limited by light pollution and the closest dark site to me recently pulled the plug on allowing astronomy! It takes some real perseverance to carry on with this hobby. I don't know if I want to re-image the same nebulas this year for the 3rd time. Need to move to the southern hemisphere and start over.

Thanks for the video! Did you end up changing the any of the spacing to get the right back focus?

Actually I use my 0.5mm distance ring and screwed the Camera tight on. Excentricity is at .5 to .6. fine for me.

I'd pull the video , fix the audio and re-upload. Majority of the content cannot be heard.
