You are not alone! I have had the exact same problems with Ulta! I couldn't add anything to my saved list for at least 3 months and couldn't place an order for almost as long! I couldn't figure it out and their customer service team was no help at all. I finally just gave up and did my shopping at Sephora until the problem was fixed. I can't even count the number of products have received that were damaged. Totally agree with you!

I live about 5 minutes from an Ulta so I haven’t dealt with corporate customer service at all because I always return in store and they never give me any problems. The packaging is horrible though.

Ulta. Where do I start. I had the error problem. Mine was fixed just by deleting the app and reinstalling. Your problem seems way deeper than that unfortunately. I can not agree with you more on their customer service. It’s the most frustrating experience to have to repeat yourself over and over just to get some boilerplate response. Now let’s get to the shipping. It never fails that something will be broken or just outright missing!! I wish I had a solution for you but all I can do is agree with you and feel your pain! I do however want to commend you on your honesty and integrity. I recently just started following you and I try to be very selective on the influencers that I follow. I clearly made a good choice with you. Keep doing what you’re doing and speaking your truth. People appreciate it. I promise you. ❤

When she was little a friend (that is a specialist in autism and other neurotypical issues) told me that it is much like teaching a person to be an actor for a role. The world/society is my daughter’s stage and she has to “act” (because it’s not her natural instinct) a certain way. So I teach her along the way. In a restaurant we aren’t loud, we hold eye contact when speaking to someone etc etc on and on. I honor her quirks and actually love them, but I also want her to be successful in a society that has unfortunately had expectations as to what is acceptable.

I couldn't check out, couldn't save for later and my past purchases took nearly a year to be reloaded to my account after their upgrade on the app. So, I feel you. Yes, its back - love this series/reviews of yours - always so useful and as others mention, your sincerity and our ability to genuinely trust you're not viewing your audience as a sale is such a refreshing rarity! Also, your eyes and mascara is fantastic - such a beautiful glow (ah, originally thought the effect was all from the Armani, wish it was - as I wish Phytosurgence wasn't a brand I can't access easily [admittedly I don't like what I consider indie, relatively unknown, or "off brands"] and that there was a one-and-done option that provides that light!) and your eyes are always fanned and elegant, your own style of beauty and approach to makeup that enhances your features is really lovely

Re: MOB shadows, I always set them with a translucent powder after because they don’t self set. I’m able to still apply powders over them though I sometimes just use them as colored primers to intensify shades. I have deep creases and can 7-ish hour wear with far far less movement than without a powder on top. Re: Phyto bronzer, I like to use a more dense brush and I swirl for a bit longer and more intensely than normal. Gently scoring the surface helps a ton, even if it’s just a squiggle. Im not there swirling for a minute+, I just pick it up and swirl faster and firmer for maybe 5 seconds. Since it’s easy to work with and hard to over apply, I feel safe loading up the brush with more than a typical cream product.

The MOB BEAUTY shadows crease pretty bad on me too! I ordered a whole pallet bc I love what the brand stands for and all the colors, but they’re not long wearing and pretty expensive so I was disappointed. However, a non silicone based eye primer definitely helps a lot! OR just Wear over a neutral matte shadow paint, like about face (smell b4 rain) or the no budge cream shadows from ELF have worked for me, I typically just use the white in a light layer. This still doesn’t make them completely crease proof but it helps! Also set w a tiny bit of powder. It’s a lot of effort but they’re gorgeous color payoff and blend so seamlessly-if you can get them to set 😅

I have heard so many people not like the Milk jelly tint stains but because you spoke highly about them I went ahead and bought a couple. Blue eyed blonde haired here too but I am a milk bottle because Im Irish and I have a skin condition where my skin just peels off my body and its still undiagnosed by dermatologists 6 years later!!!! I literally shed my skin like a snake in huge pieces my skin will peel off (think after a bad sunburn) my face was unaffected for so long but now my temples and forehead are flaking too despite moisturising and exfoliation 😭😭😭😭

Wow! Add me to the long list of customers that can't save to favorites on Ulta. I cannot believe this is happening to so many people and it's not fixed. But then, I remember the sale debacle, so maybe I'm not surprised. Here's the workaround I found: I add everything to cart, then go to my cart and save each item for later. A two step process, and much more inconvenient, but at least I don't forget to pick up things.

I found the Phyto bronzer hard to use at first too but I’m now having great success with their Sky Fluff brush! I swirl with some pressure on the pan, and generously so, and it applies wonderfully. I’m so happy to have gotten it to work and it’s now my go-to! Hope this helps!!

As a lover of water stains, you are the one reviewer that could convince me to get the Milk ones. I don’t really care about their blush use, since I don’t wear blush, but I LOVE sheer red lip stains. I’m very pale, so I look like I’m dying of hypothermia whenever I eat cold foods 😅. A sheer red lip stain is a very pretty way to counteract the blue tones from eating cold food. All I want in a water stain is wear time, so the Milk ones seem right up my alley! I have a lot of trouble finding red lip stains that are actually red, they’re usually bright pink or very orange. The shade chill looked STUNNING on you so I’m excited to try it. I always wanted a water stain stick so I could carry it around for use on the go without worrying about it shattering in my pockets. Have you had any packaging issues with the Milk stains?

I just came across your channel today. I think, overall, you are going to be a good fit for me. I too, have combination skin. I'm 55 (you're not) and lines and aging show where I'm dry. I have the same problems with sensitivity. I cannot use any products on my eyes to moisturize and all that stuff. They ALL make my eyes, goopy, puffy, sticky....serums are ok. My skin color is the lightest shade of medium. I do not know if I'm cool, warm, neutral...I don't have orange, yellow or pink... I appreciate that you share how you truly feel about a product and your experience with it. I have hooded eyes. I loved how you shared about textures, quality, lasting power, efficacy, finish, scents....my skin is soooooo sensitive . I finally can try products based on your experiences. I don't often try products anymore because they have been so disappointing. I look forward to trying the foundation that worked for your skin. That stuff never stays on me, it's too oily in my T-Zone and matte settles weird on me. I like my skin to feel Normal...not oily or dry or wet. Anyway, I'm going to re-watch thus video and write down the names of the products and colors (if not already noted elsewhere) I've wanted to try the lip tints and oils, cream foundations...now I know which ones worked or worked-ish for you. I don't mind investing in makeup that I stand a good chance of it working out well for me. Cost IS a factor. I’m so glad you mentioned difficulties w Ulta!!! I have not done online shopping with them for YEARS (I want to say since pandemic/2020) because the interface is absolutely terrible. Always glitching, never able to successfully buy anything, etc. I was always confused no one else seemed to have that issue. I hope they resolve it soon! Also, are the Armani liquid eyeshadows similar to the Violett FR matte shadows? Lastly, I’m glad you are into slime too 😂 It’s such a guilty pleasure of mine. Ulta is DISGUSTING!!. They literally sent me a BLOODY tony moly watermelon lip balm. I wish i could post pics here. The box had blood all over it including inside , a literal finger print in blood as if the worker who packed the order got cut. After 5 emails asking for a replacement the rep told me to send it back first. I was shocked they wanted it back, thats so gross. So yall beware ordering the watermelon flavor bc they may just send it to you. This was not the 1st time i received used product from upta either. Absolutely gross!!! And not to mention highly unsanitary SMH

About Ulta - I've run into the same problems. The favorites issue is related to them putting a limit on the number of items you can favorite & Ulta not communicating that. If the check out error is about an "invalid payment method" and you are trying to use over $30 worth of points that is the issue which is stupid. Only figured out that one after ranting about it to an Ulta store manager & they mentioned that for in-store purchases they needed to see an id in order to use that many points. I can only use under $30 worth of points when I order online. Online support for Ulta did not help at all for those issues. I've been having the shipping issues for about a year now (missing and or damaged products). I've gotten refunds and replacements thankfully but it is very frustrating. I've switched to only ordering from Ulta if I can pick the product up in store and order from Sephora or the manufacturer's website directly if I can't do that. If it were for Ultas points program then I would completely stop using them at this point

You looked gorgeous with the Saie products. You do have to keep building it up or it does appear to blend away. But on you, it looked to stay and look beautiful, at least on camera. I wish every brand would come with that brownish gray tone. It’s flattering on so many undertones while looking real rather than a fake brown makeup product like so many bronzers look.

We have very similar perfume taste! I have to try your Guerlain fave. I have small Bottles or large samples of most of the fragrances that you have dupe samples of.. lira, Greenwich village, Blanche Bete and Meliora.

You are not alone with your problems with Ulta. From reading the comments here, there are a lot of people having issues and that includes myself. Besides the inability to favorite anything (why can they not fix this?!), I went to my online account and changed my email address to one that I use more regularly. I kept getting emails from them to my old email address, which defeated the point of my changing it, so I spoke to customer service - first by chat. After a half hour of just trying to explain this - very simple - problem, the CS person told me that it is not possible to change one's email address online. Umm, what? As we talked, I dove into the FAQ's on the Ulta website and found the blurb that said you CAN change your email address yourself online OR you can go to a store and have them do it. I took a screen shot and showed it to him in chat. He said that info on the website was wrong. And that I'd have to go physically to a store and tell them I wanted to change my email address. I let this CS person know that this didn't make sense because everyone who shops at Ulta does not have a local physical store they can go to (I do, but I was making the point that not everyone does). He kept reiterating that I'd have to visit a store to change my email address. After an hour of back and forth without any understanding on his part, I gave up and closed my chat with him. I know it was a stupidly ridiculous issue, but it bothered me, so I then emailed Customer Service and explained it all again. I told them what my chat CS person said and the woman emailing me said he was wrong. (UGH). And that he needed re-training. She said it would just take time for their "marketing email list" to catch up with the change I made on the website, but soon the emails to the wrong address would stop. Well, that was 8 months ago. Still getting emails to an email address I'm trying to not to use and none to the one that appears in my account. So frustrating and unnecessary. Anyway, sorry for the TL;DR vent session - I just wanted you to know that your frustrations are shared. Thanks for giving me an opportunity to rant about this - it baffles me why a company of Ulta's size cannot get it together, especially with so many people telling them they have these issues. Thank you so much for consistently great content, Kait! Your honest thoughts and integrity about what you do and how you do it, is so refreshing and appreciated, truly.

My phytosurgence bronzer only got more difficult to use. The puck is dried out and shrunken, and falls out of the pan. I can’t pick up any pigment anymore. Just not a good formula/packaging combo

I had success emailing them and they sent me their new updated formula. Their original ones shrunk on me too. The newer formula are much better.

I never had any issues with Ulta. Only once something arrived broken. They responded right away & replaced the item. No problems. Love Ul ta

Ulta! So I'm not the only one! I planned my 21 Days purchases so carefully and passed up on offers elsewhere... but couldn't make things go into the shopping cart. One time I did, but then they wouldn't transfer to the checkout page. I tried 3 different browsers, two devices. I called in because email would be too slow. The one customer service rep told me I wasn't the only one, but she had no solutions to offer. The problem has continued for months. I'm so glad it's not just a matter of my technological backwardness.

I had the same problem with Ulta -- I got an error message whenever I tried to purchase anything. Customer service had no explanation. I did the same as you, tried a different browser and laptop, downloaded the Ulta app and tried purchasing on my phone -- nothing worked. I finally gave up until I tried months later for the 21 Days of Beauty sale and it worked. I just checked my Ulta account and I had no purchases from Aug 2023 to March 2024, so that's how long the situation lasted. Thanks for talking about it here. Ulta needs to be aware.

I had an Ulta credit card for years. I finally had to cancel it because, for some reason, I seemed to have 2 accounts and so the points were not applied correctly and when they had specials for the top spending customers they would not work for me. I too found items arrived broken or damaged - such as bath salts leaking out of the package or toner bottles smushed. So you are not alone.

I also had issues getting my items from Ulta. They sent out my order in three different packages and several items were straight up missing-like $60 worth of product. My order prior had broken products. I haven’t had issues with contacting CS, and getting the issues settled, but whoever is in charge of doing quality control needs a lot of work.

I also had the same issue and called customer service with no help. I finally was able to resolve it by taking out the hyphen in between the numbers of my address for my credit card (probably for your shipping address too but I was only trying to do in store pick up). Pretty random but worth a try.

I so disliked the Phytosurgence bronzer, thought I was being gaslighted because there was nothing there. I even bought the softquill brush because of course you needed the right tool. Such a satisfying thud when I threw it in the garbage. Keep up the good work.

No, you’re not the only one that has had issues with Ulta online! It took me TEN…1-0…YEARS to update my shipping address with Ulta. Years of calling…trying everything in the book on my end to get it resolved. I would change…add…update my address only for it to automatically default back to the previous address. I feel your frustration!!! Thank you for not compromising your standards!!

Hey Kait! I wanted to leave a comment and say that I love your videos. I have extremely senisitive skin, and while I wish you didn't have to deal with EDS, your makeup and skincare recommendations are really helpful for me. I also suffer but pretty crippling anxiety, just watching your videos is a pleasure when I'm trying to calm down. I love the lack of 2-second cuts and childish sound effects - those things definitely have a time and a place, but I really appreciate a life style channel without them.
