I liked your version of 2019 favorites! I think my transformative product of this year was cream/liquid blushes, specifically nudestix, nars and em cosmetics. Oh! And Charlotte Tilbury’s glow wand- THE most beautiful highlight. Oh! And the sheseido eyelash curler- I never thought a curler could be so good.

I ordered a couple of things at the end of 2019 from The Ordinary (via Sephora): the AHA30%+ BHA 2% peeling solution is good stuff once a week; if you struggle with dark circles and puffiness under eyes, Caffeine solution 5% + EGCG works IMMEDIATELY; and 100% Organic cold-pressed Rose Hip Seed oil is a great moisturizer serum. Game changers along with the Becca anti-fatigue undereye primer (the "blue" one). Love review videos!

Kimbery Graf I love their niacinamide plus hyaluronic acid then followed by the rose hip seed oil mixed with Belif true moisture bomb. I have recommended this combo so often my predictive text almost fills it in for me 😂

@tdsollog5 жыл бұрын
I put a serum on while getting ready for bed. Then I let it sink in apply the sleeping mask after brushing my teeth. I wear a CPAP mask every night and the sleeping mask was still on all my face in the morning. I’ve done that with both Laneige and Glow Recipe.

I finally found the best shampoo and conditioner for my hair: Paul Michell color formula. I've been using it for about 6 months and it works so well for my hair. Another find this year was the full sized Makeup Eraser. So late to the game on that one, lol.
@BaileyB5 жыл бұрын
Love finding staples that work long-term! Happy you found some great loves in 2019. Speaking of the Makeup Eraser, I switched to cloth removers this year too with the Face Halo! Totally should have included that because I've really been loving it. I should try the Makeup Eraser!

@@corineantonis Oooh yes, Nudestix! So funny you mention Trinny London. I just found her KZbin channel a few day s ago, and was exploring her brand! So tempted to pick up a stack. Have you tried any of her other products?

@@BaileyB I found her 'foundation' a bit heavy on my skin, but use the bff in very light almost everyday before foundation, as a primer/ sunscreen. Another love is the lip luxe in Eugenie, I use that on both lips and cheeks. Her eye 2 eye in mystery and wisdom are my most used shades. The face finish and miracle blur pots live in my work bag for quick touch ups. Her philosophy is more natural make up, enhancing your own features. For me it's perfect for everyday. Would definately watch a Trinny London review on your channel 😉

Great list! I wish I found the Ordinary 30%/2% peel worked like a dup to the Drunk Elephant. I do think it is similar, but I own them both and did them back to back weeks and I just find the DE is gentler on the skin and provides a smoother skin afterward. I’m not sure the DE is worth the price difference, but I think I may just buy it going forward (on sale) instead of saving with The Ordinary. The difference is enough for me. That being said, I think the Ordinary is worth trying if you don’t have the funds for the DE and I will only buy the DE on sale.

I am surprised how much I'm enjoying the dashing diva gel strips. I haven't even thought about lashes in a while but one day I will make magnetic lashes work for me...I'm determined 🤣

I tried one set from them, but couldn't get them to work for me! The ends were a disaster - I just couldn't get them clean. And I had a hard time finding the right shapes for my nails. I know I need to give them another try because Dashing Diva has such cute patters, but I can't seem to pull myself away from press ons LOL

I tried press on nails back in 80s and 90s, and had trouble keeping them on. Have they significantly improved since then?
@BaileyB5 жыл бұрын
Oh yeah! These are not your old press ons. imPress and Dashing Diva have a line with the adhesive pre-applied. If you prep your nails with nail polish remover (not the alcohol wipe that comes with) and let them totally dry, I find mine last at least a week, and sometimes two, with the occasional nail that comes loose at the cuticle, and I have to secure with nail glue. The re: nails I talk about in this video need glue, but the Nailene brand I mentioned keeps them really secure! Highly recommend you try some!
@claudial41415 жыл бұрын
Bailey B how do you keep nail glue from drying out? I bought some sets last year and the glue was unopened but had solidified 😕. Any brand you recommend?

It might sound really simple but can you please do a video on not only how to put them on, the press on nails, but had to take them off? I put press on nails on once and they started coming up at the top and getting caught up on everything. I couldn’t just simply take them off because I didn’t know how. I had to go to a nail salon and they had to cut them into tiny pieces to get them off. Press on nails scare me and you use them all the time.

Mary Quite Contrary they are having a sale in January if that helps. Keep in mind that there are only the owners (2 sisters) with I think one employee so they are a super small business. For their multichromes prices are similar to Chaos (also awesome multichromes). Check out their other shimmers/metallics and duochromes as those are also stunning but the price point is easier on the wallet!

What I’m waiting for is magnetic nails. They could have a brush on to make your natural nails magnetic and then just adhere. How cool would that be?

Have you tried pushing them under your cuticle when you apply? You could also put a dab of nail glue up at the cuticle end as you're pressing them up there to give them extra hold!
