Let's make a lovely heart-shaped brooch out of beads. To make such a brooch, I use felt - we embroider on it with beads, cardboard - it keeps the shape of the finished brooch, we put cardboard inside the brooch, which eco leather can also be replaced with felt. We also need a beaded thread (0.1-0.15 mm), a beaded needle (I use number 12), beads of various sizes.
We start embroidering from the outer edging, then we always sew on the largest beads, then sew on the middle ones and at the very end add small seed beads to the voids.
after the embroidered base is ready, we glue the cardboard so that the brooch keeps its shape, then the back part is eco-leather or felt.
And at the end we make out a beaded edging, I made it in the form of a "fence"

For the wrapping can you do more than 1 bead at a time... other than the initial 2 ?? Seems tedious

I think yes, two beads are possible, three - the grip will already be worse. (this is for edging at the very beginning, when we are just starting to embroider). and if we are talking at the end, when we make out the last row with a fence (when we connect all the layers of felt + leather), then no, I have not tried several beads, only one at a time.
