I think adding hanging plants/candles or other little decor would be a great idea! Also, placing your books horizontally in stacks would give it more depth and look nicer! You can also display your special editions/ fav books facing forward to take up more space and make it look more decorate ❤

Hii i've been watching you for years now and i am happy you are getting into reading!!! I know when I started getting back into reading I was buying so many books that were popular, thinking I would like it. However after a couple of years my taste in books have changed quite drastically that I have sold many books that are not just my taste anymore. What I have been doing now is getting books from the library and if I really loved it I will buy it! I do this any new authors that I have discovered and if I really enjoyed them I will buy more of their books. This way it supports your local library and support authors that you truly enjoy!

This is so awesome but i think it's important to caution the possibility of overconsuming or hoarding. As amazing as reading is, it's always a good idea to monitor how many books we hold on to for the sake of "collecting". When you donate books you no longer revisit, make use of digital reading platforms and resell/gift, the possibility of hoarding 1000 books or even half of that becomes more and more absurd. I'm so happy your love for reading has been re-ignited and there's nothing better than a brand new book, but it is important to consume responsibly. Happy reading! The shelf looks stunning.

Its not hoarding if you genuinely want a library in your home? I read from the library/ebooks yet still buy physical copies because i love owning them. Hoarding is something wayyy different (my grandmother is an actual hoarder and no one can even step foot in her house) its very different. Some people love collecting certain things. In this video, the poster is not even buying random books she will never read for the sake of filling fake bookcases for decor

Exactly! This is ridiculous that people are policing others on their own purchases and trying to dictate how people’s personal possessions need to be used or how much. The whole point of being eco-conscious is to look at one’s own purchases and behaviors and try to do better and what works for them not policing others! Check yourself
@plamedi8935 ай бұрын
While I agree that we shouldn’t dictate what other people do or consume, I should emphasize that that isn’t at all what I’m doing. Briddy is a public figure. She is an influencer, and what influencers do is share their lives & sell their audience things. This means it is completely acceptable for us as viewers to voice concerns about mindful consumption or simply allowing her as well as others the opportunity to provide context. This, of course, is acceptable if it is with good intention & still respectful. I have no intentions to police what anyone does, but that doesn’t mean I should pretend that an influencer (who again, sells us things and shares their life) might not have influence with regards to what they promote. And from what I gathered from my exchange with her, she understands exactly where I’m coming from as I was in no way rude or malicious. Content creators are not above criticism.

It’s a finished series of 8 books and there is a tandem read which is fs a fun experience.
