How I Got PASTEL Hair (From Dark Hair)

New hair (again). Oops. No more new hair for a while because now I'm broke, lol.
ALSO , I know this cut isn't actually considered "short" (it's more medium length), but it's short to me because I've always had long hair which I felt attached to (as I discussed in the video). And we ending up cutting off 5-6 inches off (he cut it again after the bleaching sessions). Everyone has different attachments to things about themselves that make them feel secure - mine just happened to be my hair at the time.

Reading all these comments about how it's not "short" is really annoying. If any of you would've read the DESCRIPTION BOX you would understand in better depth about how she felt. I'm pretty sure we've all been there, whether the stylist cut 1 inch or 12 inches it will feel short to any of us. Your hair looks fantastic and ur amazing

+Areli Z Read the description box. Most the others probably did too. But that doesn't magically make short equal long. Short is short, like pixie. Medium is like shoulder length, and long is what she has. And its still plenty to hide behind. 4 inches is nothing. Calling it short, or even medium, just sounds like complaining TBH.

misuzu437 Getting "annoyed" at what someone's perspective in regards to length of hair is a pretty petty thing to be annoyed with, lol. Like I said multiple times, it's just personal perspective and opinion - I am not offending anyone by saying that my hair feels short to me - what's there to be annoyed at? Do you get annoyed at someone who looks at an indigo colour and sees it as purple while you see it as blue? If you're getting annoyed at what length someone thinks their hair is, you need to divert your emotions somewhere more significant.

Hi, Katie I had 80 cm long hair, which was down to my butt. I cut it off to about an inch below my shoulders and I now love it more... Especially considering my hair was over 6 inches thick, I had it thinned and I was not even upset the tiniest bit. I guess people deal with it differently.

Even though it not much shorter it feels like you cut off a lot. I remember last week I had my hair barley reach my butt and now it's at the top of my hip and when I saw it I was a little sad because even though it was like 3 inches it felt like I cut 10 inches.

i know it's considered medium length, but i perceive it as short because i've had long hair all my life. the initial cut was 3-4 inches off, but once he did the final shaping/cut after the bleach, it took off a total of 5-6 inches, which is quite a bit - that's why it seems very short to me :)

I've drastically cut my hair in the past, went from waist length to jaw length. Then I let it grow back out for years. One day I woke up, and didn't want my long hair anymore and I didn't want to be a brunette (I'd never dyed my hair before). Gave myself this super super short cut and just dyed my hair blonde. I actually liked the red/brassy look, my hair didn't streak it was just all this uniform golden orange. But now. Bored with it and want something different. And your lilac is BEAUTIFUL

I had two times in my life where I had to cut my hair REALLY short (and by that I mean, from where the boobie area is to my jawline)...I remembered both times were done by different hairdressers, and both of them were staring at me like if I was on crack when I agreed to do so straightaway without any hesitation. I think it's cos I hated my long tangled hair so much I didn't care as much, even though I did feel a lil something something the second time but not really. My hair was in a bad condition due to the way I bleached it, so I could dyed my hair pink and then green after pink fades. The lesson I learnt from that was to not leave your bleach in for too long (just for you to be lazy about not having to bleach your hair several times). I think unless it's for good reasons like bad hair quality/I want to do it for sure, I would be sad if my hair gets chopped off. I love this pastel purple hair and how it turned out.

I think it's funny how people are so scared of cutting their hair short...
