🤯🤯🤯Big thanks from a dad with a 9yr old daughter who is tired of box braids and 2 strand twist. I will miss the knocker balls and bows days cause she is growing up.🥺🥺😭 Wish me luck. 🤞

I'm here in 2022. I have multiracial children. My youngest has hair that's good for braiding and cornrowing. I had someone doing his hair but life has gotten hectic for her. So I'm hoping to learn. I know how to basic braid. This video gives me more hope. I just need that type of comb and a doll to practice on. Because my youngest is 3. I had to hold him and bribe and distract him while my neighbor was braiding his hair. But he loves having braids. He would repeatedly walk to the mirror and look at his hair with a huge grin. So cute 🥰

When I saw that broken comb I knew you knew your stuff. I didn't know how to do cornrows until I had to practice with my daughter. She's 9 now and I feel like I'm just getting neat enough work to experiment, but I don't blow dry her hair before braiding. Her hair is mid-back now but shrinkage is a beast so it usually hangs just past her shoulders in braids.

A “Teacher at its finest “ been trying for years to learn how to braid and this just taught me . I have a doll head I use to practice showing the first corn roll to the second has to be the most accurate thing ever and idk why it actually helped me while motivated me like would you look at there !!! By her placing that in the video I knew I would finally learn properly how to braid . I immediately realized what I was doing wrong during her teachings. When you have someone who genuinely wanna see others “Learn “ what they “Know” that my friends is called a teacher . Many may wear the tittle but very few have the heart and passion while being genuine. I thank you so much for this video and shout out to me because thanks to my teacher I finally graduated from not “knowing “to have learned how !! Thanks best teacher ever ❤

Thank you for this video! I work in a nursing home, and due to covid, visitors and visiting time is restricted. We have a black resident who has not had her hair done in forever. Now, visitors are allowed, but not for long enough to be able to do her hair. We have no other staff that know how, either. I have watched your video a couple of times, and I am going in (on my day off) tomorrow to braid her hair for her. Your video was very helpful. Seems kind of like a French braid (but you take the hair from under...instead of over) and doing it in a smaller area. I just hope I can make her hair look nice for her. :)

Kat Slat where I'm from (The Bahamas) literally everybody in my school even in the seventh grade knew how to row (that's what we call it down here) and I always felt kinda embarrassed when I would say that I don't know how. But a few weeks ago my friend taught me how but it wasn't coming out neat and I didn't like the look, so I came to this video and I got better now I'm going to keep practicing to get better and neater.

I just came back to this video to say THANK YOU SIS. YOU ARE THE TRUTH!! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽😭😭😭 I went a whole LIFETIME not knowing how to cornrow! It was one of the things I was always ashamed of as black woman. I watched dern near EVERY VIDEO ON YT. I found your video 3 months ago, and I was able to cornrow sb entire head nicely for the FIRST time in my life! I practiced everyday since on my daughter's hair and now I've gotten so good, ppl are shocked when I tell them I only learned a couple of months ago. I can even cornrow my own hair now, so I'm no longer confined to twists! Thank you for uploading, Idk what I would've done without this video! 😭😭😭

I am white and obviously have white/straight hair so these styles would never work for my hair however I just love watching these videos to see the process. I think Afro/Natural hair is so gorgeous and people who can do these are so talented. I was friends with a Jamaican girl when I was at school and her hair was always in so many pretty styles and braids. Her mother was such a talented lady. Great video Ma’am. Xx

I'm a white woman too, but I've got a huge crush on my friend and roommate who's black. I don't know if she likes me or not (I'm a bit of a coward) but I think it would be nice to be able to do her hair for her instead of her having to do it herself and have her arms get tired, or having to pay through the nose for someone else to braid it for her. Even if she doesn't like me in _that_ way, it would still be a nice thing to do for my friend... assuming that she'd want me to touch her hair. 😅 I know that asking to touch black hair is a huge faux pas... I don't 100% understand why, since I'm cool with my friends touching my hair, but I don't have to understand it- I just have to respect it. Honestly, I almost hope she doesn't return my feelings- I've heard that relationships can get messy and have some drama, and I don't want to have our friendship ruined because of relationship drama. At the same time, it would take me at least a couple of weeks to heal and let go of my feelings for her, which would probably make me bad company. I hope she'll understand that it wasn't her fault, and it won't be anger or bitterness that will make me be less talkative. I'll just be trying to hold back tears- which again, wouldn't be her fault, and I wouldn't want her to feel bad about it. Feelings suck. 😞 Ah well. No matter how it all shakes out, I'm educating myself, which is always a good thing. Please excuse my over-sharing. 😅

You were very patient and clear in your tutorial thank you! I discovered that I do not have the proper fingertip grip I use more of second knuckle grip and it makes a looser braid and hand fatigue. Thank you so much! This is the most helpful tutorial video on how to cornrow for beginners that I have ever seen. I actually cornrowed for the first time ever watching your video. You're a great teacher! Thanks!

kaheynie Yah. Me being Jamaican I had to learn how to do my own hair at 11 and I’m 18 about to be 19 in 3 months. And I have to say it was hard at first. My mom does my hair in plats or cornrows all the time. It’s a tough process. This comment really stuck out to me. But in a good way.

This is the absolute BEST braiding video I have come across where you really show the detail. Unfortunately, I braid with a different finger placement, but it's more difficult and takes longer. This really helped! Thanks so much!

Thank you so much! My husband has coily hair and it gets caught in his hard hat at work. Your video is the only one that was so clear and positioned perfectly so that I could really see what you were doing. I also love how able you were to describe what you were going to do and what you were doing while doing it. The tips you added in were so helpful and wonderful! I didn't do great and they aren't pretty but because of your video I was able to braid my husbands hair into 6 sections so that he can be more comfortable at work.

Thank you so much for this video! I FINALLY figured out what I was doing wrong. I was adding pieces of hair to the left and right sections as I went, instead of the middle section! I did my first successful cornrow and I want to shout with joy!!

Niki kimbro its still adding to the sodes, but she grabs the side first and then adds more hair to it instwad of trying to bring all the hair to the middle in one sweep.
