I guess I got a really lucky bag--I got a 35 pan Viseart palette that sells for $150! I have watched other unboxing and haven't seen anyone else get it. I also got a Sonia G brush, Oribe body wash (that smells wonderful), an Auric smoke reflections, a Charlotte Tilbury liquid lipstick, pimple patches, and a Kitsch hair clip. I'm pretty damn happy!

I think these lucky bags would be much more palettable if they included a voucher so you could pick something else up from the store that you actually want at a discount. Like if I got $300 worth of stuff that I'd never pick up on my own volition, I'd be bummed. But if I could get $20 off something else from their store, I'd be able to gaslight girl math myself into believing it's a little more worth it.

I got the Surratt lid lacquer in my "un"lucky box (BTW, your box was similar to mine but you got an ND palette and a much better SG brush than I got!) and I used it as a contour/bronzer and it was fabulous for uncooked chicken! Give it a try on your cheeks with that fabulous SG brush! 🐔😜

The apple cider vinegar conditioner should shut down your cuticle layer of your hair and make it shine. But it depends on the amount of apple cider vinegar is in the product. It is very good for color treated hair, and can make color and toner last longer. Or you can buy apple cider vinegar at the store, fill a spray bottle 2/3 of the way with water and 1/3 vinegar, spray it in your hair before putting in your conditioner. I was a hairstylist for over 28 years, lol.

Btw, love the nail polish! Is that Halo Taco? 💅 Think you could use that brown creamy eye product as an eyeliner? And if I don’t like a face skincare product, I’ll use it on my hands, arms, etc at night so it won’t go to waste.

This year the bags were pretty good, way better than last year. Like you, I got a couple of items that I wouldn’t use, but we got useable makeup, few dupes from previous years, and items that were very reasonable. My bag was over $400, and I saw a lot of people who got in that zone. My personal dud was the Danessa Myricks Groundworks Blooming Rose because I don’t use makeup in that way, but it’s a reasonable item. I got one of those MOB lipsticks last year and I enjoyed it more than I thought. It feels good on the lips and lasts a decent while. The Surratt eyeshadow is not very pigmented, but I use it as a base on the lid and it’s good for that.

if i remember rightly as a rule the apple cider vinegar washes are meant to strip the hair of excessive products used but gently so, ACV is gentler and is good for the scalp also as it helps with getting rid of dandruff or oily scalp. For your hair i'd say give it a crack once but also recondition the next day or like a booster hair mask without any silicones (dimethicone is used in a LOT of haircare - i personally do not use anything with dimethicone/silicones in haircare as i find it can build up and not let natural moisture or nutrition from haircare in, it's a barrier however your choice, its a very diverse argument in that!) I think from products shown the beautylish bags don't have much i'd care for, i ordered from an alt-store lucky bag cos that's more my jam - i wanna buy the yesstyle lucky bag as their skincare is SO SO good and i've easily cleared 150AUD in products xD

Thanks for the video, Theresa! I hope you're feeling better. Well, that was interesting. I'd say that the ND palette, the Yummy Skin blush, the brush, and the lipstick made the bag worth it. I'm not ever going to get one of these because I have sensitive skin and avoid fragrance. And there's no way to guarantee that the products in the bag would be fragrance free.

After dealing with beautylish’s shipping charge fiasco, I finally got mine on Thursday. My XL bag was great and had all products I will use. Only issue is that the palettes have a lot of the same colors, but it was nice that the products all went together for a look. DM Blooming Romance palette, ND mini rose palette, CT blush wand (pinkgasm), Augustinus Bader balm (red, but nice muted color once it goes on), oribe detangling shampoo, WG blush brush, Holifrog sunscreen, Good Molecules brightening toner, and the slip hair tie. $363 value.

Mine wasn't bad per se, but they gave me a big palette I already had (I know that's the risk, but i didn't even buy many palettes last year and this was one of the few!), the Charlotte Tilbury mini Bronze and Glow (not new but I am about 1/2 through the one I currently have so 🤷‍♀️), a brow palette from Viseart (literally no one but makeup artists need a brow PALETTE!). Otherwise I got a lip balm and moisturizer I will definitely use so, not terrible but not as exciting as I wanted.

My XL bag had $447 worth of products in it so I guess technically it was a lucky one but I felt meh about everything. The only thing I was mildly intrigued by was the large Viseart pro palette. I also got an Oribe shampoo that smelled like it turned bad. I liked my 2024 box so I was excited to order again but this year was meh.

I got the $75 lucky bag one year. It was $90 by the time you pay taxes and shipping. I was getting a lot of boxes back then. The Boxy Charm $35 premium box was a higher value and actually had 2 of the same product. I actually did videos for the next 6 months comparing the two. Premium box won every time.
