Glad to see you sharing the experiences! It's a hard sport! Had pretty much similar experiences and butt hurting in the beginning, but once you learn it, it is like riding a bike, you'll remember how to do it after years of not doing it.

Ahh yes lots of falls! I fell less and less each time I went! Hardly fell over the 4th time which I was very happy with 😅 ahh yes I’m hoping that will be the case haha! Thank you for watching ☺️

@@ChelseaAddams Yeah I've had several years of breaks and still remebering how to do it. Also my last time was some time before covid haha. I remember learning 3-4 days straight (a week long holiday) after that next winter it was easy to pickup where I left it, took many times before I really felt confident, but in couple of winter seasons I was already doing jumps with small ramps etc. Landing small jumps really helps with the balance going forward. When you are first going a little faster, it is important to learn to use the edges of the snowboard, be brave enough to do high angles. Can't really learn that with low speed. Getting over the fear of falling on your back when facing backwards was difficult! When you are able to change sides smoothly, you'll be winning.

I’ve no idea about snowboarding, but it looks like you did really well, I’m impressed :) We are off to Rovaniemi in March so may well give it a go. I learnt to wakeboard a few years ago and certainly the most difficult part is when you first start, kills your muscles as you tend to use all the wrong ones :) it does get easier though.

Great progresson you are making! 🙂I guess the next lesson will be on making linked turns? As a new snowboarder myself learning how to link turns was probably the hardest part. Stick with it though, eventually you will get to a point where you don't have to really think about what you are doing, your body will just know what to do! Some great tutorials are available on KZbin by Malcolm Moore, www.youtube.com/@malcolmmoore

Haha surprisingly I wasn’t achy the days after, but whilst doing the heel edge and toe edges for the first times, it certainly was a good workout!!
