My mom always tells me that I have the "Up fire" type of body that's why I'm more prone to break-outs, stress, and etc. It's weird but I do notice 100% of the time whenever I eat a type of food that is in the "Yang" category, I would break out the very next day. For instance, Jack fruits and instant ramen noodles are "hot" foods which I sadly have to avoid consuming. ):
@Serjo77710 жыл бұрын
You don't have to avoid anything if you're not allergic, you just have to stop believing random bs.
@DivinexSerenity10 жыл бұрын
It's not really "random bs" if thousands even millions of ppl in Asia believe in this. It does have to do with Eastern beliefs and medicines.

In addition, I think there are foods that occupy a relative neutral spot on this dichotomy. And others which are neither strongly hot or cold, maybe just mildly warm or cold. They fall somewhere in the middle of this continuum.

Interesting! But according to my family, there's also a Neutral zone, where yin and yang are so miniscule, that it's considered neutral to your body. And most cantonese families here in NYC seem to adhere to that too. But then again, it'll make your video a lot more complex in categorizing.

PSA If you want scientific theory backing Acupuncture performed by a M.D. read my little blurb below (not a doctor, just a self-disciplined 19y/o researcher/healthcare/Stanford medical accreditation) Think of it this way, What is your body made up of? Atoms. Atoms are positively(yin) and negatively(yang) charged particles that create the basis of life. The positively charged particle is in the nucleus of the atom whereas the electron orbits and can transfer between roughly estimated valence shells. Atoms interact with other atoms that then bring us here. In order to fix our problems, we must first break them into their smallest pieces, which in this case is the atom. Similarly to how a car would run totally off when the alternator starts acting funny, which generates electricity by increasing sub-atomic particle collisions aka electrons and protons. Long story short, energies do exist. Acupuncture is the tool used to release the energy blockage. Have you ever walked into a room and just felt heavy energy? You're not wrong! You can quite literally feel another person' energy as it is directly interacting with the atomic particles in the air that then eventually reach you and interact with your energy levels. Still not convinced energy levels exist? It's our hidden 6th sense--hence why we feel uneasy around certain people or oddly calm around others with no explanation. You can only imagine what Wifi is doing to our energy channels. Keep questioning everything around you.

Mia! I just noticed you have a micky-mouse-hairline like I do. Could you please make a video about styling tips? I recently got a fringe and it goes up all the time because of my silly hairline, and in general I struggle with choosing hairstyles and styling my hair because of it. Thank you in advance, this would be sooo helpfull!
@thedaemonicblackcat10 жыл бұрын
You have to train your fringe. Pin it down in the direction you want it to go for a week or so and it should start behaving after a while.
@WojtekGolaBezPindola10 жыл бұрын
thedaemonicblackcat I think you made up this method because hair doesn't work that way...hair bounces back after a shower or even after a sleep. Drying my fringe on a brush is the only thing that works but it doesn't last for longer than a day and it takes me quite some time to do as well.
@thedaemonicblackcat10 жыл бұрын
Igabella Sorry. This method worked fine for me, but if you wash your hair more than once or twice a week it probably won't work for you on its own. If you do that in combination with the blow drying it may work. Also if you have very fine hair or if your bangs have been thinned you may need to weight them down a bit with product. If your hair is thin I don't think Mia would be able to help you. She has thick asian hair like I do and it behaves differently to other hair types regardless of hairline.
@alrightsayyeah10 жыл бұрын
Hey I have to agree with thedaemonicblackcat because I used to have a parting on my left, but decided to part it on the right and in doing so I had to train it so after the shower I'd brush it in the direction I want it to go and pin it then blow dry it and use hair spray, I wore pins a lot after about 2 weeks it naturally started to fall that way, 5 years on it still does, it's just about getting the follicles used to resting a certain way Because now when I try to part my hair on the left it starts flipping back over lol
@WojtekGolaBezPindola10 жыл бұрын
thedaemonicblackcat I have a lot of thick hair, but my hairline makes it imposible for the hair to stay down as the hairs grow up. If I had thin hair I dont think it would be as hard to style it. I have used this 'method' before when I was waay younger but my hair is way too strong to obey to that. And hmm you never know what kind of hair knowledge Mia has, so that's why I asked - who knows maybe she can help me.

too me at best any list of foods like this just looks like gibberish because i can't find any kind of definite source. in fact sometimes i find contradicting information. you mention acid/alkaline foods in western study. is there a definite thing like that in determining yin or yang in the food?
@johanna90257 жыл бұрын
D CD no because chinese medicine is largely holistic. however an explanation for it is in fact the acidity and alkalinity in some foods, as the symptoms for acidosis (when your blood ph dips below the normal range) is comparable to the symptoms for 'up fire'.

In astrology, to be honest with you the moon is the Yang and the sun is the Yin. A good example for this is, Cancer the crab which the moon is their ruling planet of with feminine energy. While the sun is being ruled by the lemean Lion Leo being the yin because Leo the lion is like the lion king.
