Channel Post10 suggest removing the sides, as this is what give the structure rigidity. One the sides are compromised, the center will fall from the water pressure.

How about using a 4 foot, (Meter and a half) gasoline powered chain saw to cut 2 or 3 vertical paths through the dam. The water would cool the blades, and the sand and silt would be pushed out of the way, the wood be cut. Yes the blades would need resharpening, maybe once or twice per dam, but I think quite a disruption of the structure of the dam itself. Yes would need CLAWING afterwards, BUT how much more effective to claw apart after the cuts. Anyway I'm curious, at 75 years old, I could never do such an experiment, and quite a video for you!!! ... @@Chris-il7mi Maybe an arborist friend, even from your audience, could loan you a gas powered chain saw and even mount an extended chain and bar as part of the experiment. Maybe even co-host a video where he ran the chainsaw? (Maybe you could offer to pay for the extended bar and chain,because it might be likely he'd not have use for an extended bar and chain in his tree work) Best Regards, and thanks for considering and responding to my comment. Your videos are in fact ok. But it´s getting a little boring, after seing several of them. You never finish to tear down the whole beaverdam, and for me, it looks like You haven`t got the physical strength to do it. You run out of power very quick. I would like to se You tear the whole dam away, just once in a while. Tommy

:) I am strong enough, don't worry. I won't remove whole dam, because there is not difference if I remove whole or part of it. My thing is to drain it. I saw many dams which was removed by excavator and after 1 week the new dam was at the same place.
