Hi!
I've spent here 40 minutes. Surprisingly there was not a lot of wood sticks like previous time. Mud was main part of the structure there. During warm day after removal I was all sweat. And I've find TICK on my pants. Lucky it was not on my skin.
Be part of my future project or support. Thank You very much!

An old remedy for beavers I learned from my grandfather was to pee on the sticks next to the dam. If you do that repeatedly for a few weeks the beavers will start to move away. Has something to do with the ammonia in human urine.

Good of you to check on already opened dams, beavers can be very fast in rebuilding, as you know of course. Nice cleaning!!

another great video. rea lly loved how you made a big part of it collapse at the same time. although the dam removal with an excavator is cool in other videos, i really like to see the manual ones. keep them coming!

Hey Papa. We had (5c) for a few days now, and Frost a couple of nights ago. Today it is (+9c) a little warmer, but not by much. Interesting that the beavers used old material, I guess beavers understand the concept of expediency !! They don't have to expend energy creating new material, they can use the stuff you left on the banks from the earlier clearing.

Well as you said "it's a first". You encountered a group of Beavers that attended the 'Recycling Lecturer' at the neighbouring Lodge. 🤣😂🤣 It really is amazing that the beavers can rebuild such a large dam in just a week. It also proves the amount of back-up water that one dam can hold back, in such a short time. A good video to watch. Excellent! 👍🇬🇧

It would be interesting if you had a pole with centimeter marks on it that you put in the water above the dam and mark with the original water level. I think people like to watch these for "progression" (like the lawn mowing videos) and that would add another thing for them to see change.

If you look at the pond in the back you can see the wet grass and the muddy bank, shows you how much the water has dropped.

You might want to look for tunnels around the left side of that dam (looking upstream). Looks abit like a beaver lodge.

Maybe if you took the whole dam out it would take them longer to build it back again 😮

You seemed to use a different technique this time. You didn't attack the dam at its base to undermine it and cause it to roll over in a spectacular collapse. Instead, you attacked it from the top. Was there a strategic reason for this?

Looks like they built the dam of mostly mud and grass. They added the old sticks on top to intimidate you. They had a good laugh, but you had the last laugh.
