That is a dandy Dan! I caught a 61# in 2012 but nothing over 55# since! I’m really a beaver snareman but use 330s until hard water. I did though just ordered a few TS-85s

the TS85's are a great trap , those and the no bs beaver extreme 2 coil are my go to beaver traps . i catch several every season around the 65 pound mark . i have had a few as big as the last set of rings on a beaver board and it was still a little loose . we are just lucky to have a lot of older colonies with big size to the older adults .

Yes, I saw where you’ed removed the helper springs on the No BS but saw that you also used the TS85s. Commonsense tells us that the higher the jaw the better the front foot catch on beaver. I had 1/2 doz MB750s OS some years ago for coyote trapping in deep snow. With the 7502 sitting beside a Bridger #4, their jaws was only 5/8” higher and that’s why I went with the TS85.

When I had deep snow the OS MB 750’s caught me coyote in blind trail snow sets but when I sold my snowmobile I sold the 750s. LOL I’m always playing with traps and if I don’t play, I don’t learn!!!

i have a few ts85's that i put bridger #5 helper springs on.@@SeldomFales they are too much for me to set without setters . i tried to catch pigs with them . like the Duke 850 4 coils . the dozen i have i took 2 of the springs off so i can set them on my leg .

once the vacuum in the mud is broken , the anchors come out easily . had these made just for our soft mud in the swamps .
