"Beaver annoyance". I love it! And the way you get such a thrill out of annoying them is funny! Always look forward to your videos, sir.

I never thought it was a waste of time, even if the beavers did keep coming back, you were helping prevent erosion

Not much water left , beavers need a minimum amount of depth to feel safe. Basically they have no where hide or swim.

Looks to me like the lack of abundant nearby trees that the beavers could easily get to via swimming worked in your favor... The juice just wasn't worth the squeeze for them. My pond has TONS of access to building materials and I've NEVER been able to "annoy" the beavers away - even when I rip their dam(s) open every day. It's sad. If the stupid rodents would just live in the pond without trying to flood out my property - we could live in peace and harmony. If they didn't mess with me - I wouldn't mess with them. But that's just not how the world works, I suppose.

I hope in the future we humans can learn new ways of working with the natural environment without destroying the homes of animals. All that extra water is good to replenish ground water, promote wildlife and natural fauna. But if the land owner needs to profit. The natural environment stops mattering. No judgment and I do understand why it is all done. Just wish it could be different.

You could say the same about the beavers: "if beavers could learn new ways of working with the natural environment (which includes us humans) without destroying the homes of animals (humans)" If the beavers around me would simply try it - they'd discover the trees/brush around my natural pond grow quickly enough to sustain a Beaver family WITHOUT FLOODING OUT MY WHOLE PROPERTY. But instead, they're greedy, build their dams, and force me to take action. I'd have zero problem with them living in my pond if they didn't insist on damming it up. All that being said, I DO take your point. Beavers are an incredible boon to the lifecycle of water and soil. They help keep my pond's ecosystem in fantastic condition; a place where otters, turtles, Heron, Ducks, Geese, mussels, crawdads, frogs and fish can all thrive. I take no joy from having to kill them off every other year.

So you think beavers have the ability to make a conscious decision, and their actions aren’t instinctual? Really And you’re acting like the flooding of your land isn’t the reason why it’s able to produce so much. Yeah, I’m sure you’re Supporting having all the groundwater runoff into the oceans, instead of actually sinking back into the ground, where it can be reused. Let’s be honest, you are the greedy one you have the ability to make conscious decisions. I didn’t say anything in my original post that was offensive. You just simply took it that way because you’re petty and small.

Your annoyance tactics may well have worked, well done,...or the beavers got eaten by something. Either way, good result, flooding problems solved.
