It does go really clear tbh, yours will go just as clear on your B80, you can't be far off brewing with it now surely...

@@vochomebreweryusingbrewtoo9439 I start brewing this week (but need to use my BIAB crushed grain up) - too fine for B80. Don’t want my first experience to be a shite one.

Your graphics are getting really fancy dude !!!! Another cracking video mate 👍

Thanks Stewart, the graphics are just part of the software prog [Movavi] i wasn't going to film today tbh, bit of a last second spur of the moment thing, my vids are mostly the same type of thing, just trying to get Brewtools content out there to help the people who have invested in the kit, i know full well how daunting it is to use first time out, now on a brew day i feel like i'm cheating as the system makes it just so easy...

Is the recipe available somewhere? That was what actually attracted me to the video, as I don't have this brew system.

Hey Andrew There is a link to the recipe just below the description text, i use Brewfather as my brewday software so the link will take you straight to the recipe.

Gary, I noticed quite a bit of trub in the hydrometer. Does that effect the accuracy? Also, on my B40, it takes much longer to get to boil. Do you put the lid on to bring up to boil?
@vochomebreweryusingbrewtoo94394 жыл бұрын
It may of been a bit of trub but mostly is was hot break i think, don't think it effected the accuracy as it was 1.050 on both the refractometer and the hydrometer, i filter the wort into the Fv with a fine nylon bag, i used 3 today as it was pretty hoppy in the kettle with around 170 grams in all.

Yes i put the lid on after sparging to get up to the boil, my B40 has been pretty slow the last couple of months [since the last update i think] in getting up to the boil after sparging and maintaining a hard boil, on advice from Brewtools i upped the amps in the settings from 13 to 16 and it made a big difference to the boil today, i usually boil off around 4 to 4.5 litres, today was around 5.5 litres.

Great video thanks. I did a batch today with almost the same grain bill as yours. With the steam hat on once I reach to boil mark I need to reduce the heating down to 40% to maintain 100C.

Great to know Todd, i upped the amps on the B40 from 13 up to 16 as since the last update the boil hasn't been as fierce as it usually is, happy to report the fierce boil is back now the amps are higher

It’s a pointless beer with no depth of mouth feel, much like Camden beers, why bother?
