El Omrane is a Tunisian delegation depending on the governorate of Tunis.
In 2004, it had 40,801 inhabitants including 20,560 men and 20,241 women distributed in 9,804 households and 9,779 dwellings.
It has a number of districts including:
El Omrane, formerly called Franceville;
Ras Tabia;
Jebel Lahmar;
City of Olives;
central city;
Bir Atig;
City El Habib;
military city;
Oued El Sebai;
Bab Saadoun Station.

It is bounded by the delegations of El Menzah and upper El Omrane to the north, the delegation of Bab Souika to the south, the delegation of Bab El Bhar to the east and the delegation of Ettahrir as well as the municipality of Bardo to the west.

Bab Jedid (arabe : باب الجديد), aussi orthographiée Bab Djedid ou Bab Jdid, est l'une des portes de la médina de Tunis (Tunisie).
Sixième porte percée dans les remparts de la médina en 1278, sous le règne du souverain hafside Abû Zakariyâ Yahyâ al-Wâthiq (1277-1279), c'est tout naturellement qu'elle est nommée Bab Djedid (« Porte Neuve »). Ouvrant sur la rue du même nom, elle est aussi connue sous le nom de « Porte des Forgerons ».
Le quartier avoisinant accueille de nombreuses habitations (palais, grandes demeures et maisons), des boutiques abritant une grande variété de métiers, des zaouïas et des médersas. Parmi les demeures bourgeoises et aristocratiques figurent le Dar El Béji, le Dar Djellouli, le Dar Zarrouk et le Dar Bayram.
Il est aussi connu pour abriter le siège du Club africain.
