I wish more idols will adopt Liz's mentality. Liz stated that the hate towards her body does not affect her, and I hope that is true, idols like Ryujin saddens me because her body was goals back in the Wannabe era. I wasn't even aware that she was body shamed, in fact I only saw articles praising her figure but recently I have noticed that she has lost too much weight. Itzy as a whole seems to adopt unhealthy eating habits because Lia at one point was too thin and was getting thinner. I wish people would stop paying attention to idols figure and just enjoy their music, idols are worked to the bone with little to no sleep during promotions so if they are eating well then no one should say anything. Honestly it's only Korea where I have noticed that fans comment on their idol's weight.

What bothers me the most about Ryujin is what she said about losing weight and dancing. She explained that people shouldn't change their appearance because of what others say, BUT, she claimed that skinny/smaller bodies makes dances look better, which is not objectively true. It still is a form of social pressure to control the way idols (and people in general) should look like. So, yeah. Even though Ryujin doesn't support body shaming, she still found a way to rationalize as correct the views that people who body shame have regarding people's physical appearance. Basically skinny = good, superior.

The worst part is that the ‘fat’ idols are if we’re STRETCHING it- 115 lbs max. That’s the lower end of a healthy body weight for the average girl around 5’5’. That’s many’s ideal body’s. Body positivity can be toxic, sure, but toxic weight standards are still really really bad. No one who isn’t know personally should ever have to deal with unsolicited citisizm about their body. Fat shaming- skinny shaming- they’re just some of the hardest shit to put up with. You don’t need to glorify being skinny of fat to be able to just leave people the fuck alone.
