I enjoyed this movie. In the past I had experienced problems with the sound going off and the credits were not displayed. Other viewers previously had mentioned that it is due to copyright issues.

Thank you! Charles Laughton has the most exciting voice. He uses seemingly endless color and dynamics. I can only imagine what he was like on the stage when he had to project his sound. STOPPP!!!!! STOP!!!! SPOILER ALERT!!!!! DON'T READ FURTHER TILL AFTER YOU'VE SEEN THE MOVIE!!!!!! I would have liked the film even more if he had gotten the girl, nothing against Mr. Tone (who also has a good speaking voice) I just think it would have been more fun.

What happened to the sound with only 13-14 minutes left?!? Was out for 2 minutes. VERY annoying. Comes back on for maybe 1 minutes, then the sound is off again for another 2 minutes!! EXTREMELY annoying that it happens again!! Is it an editing problem??? Annoying movie anyway with all that manipulation and whining, then this sound issue is just too much. Terrible waste of time.

Dear Debbie, I didn't mind the gaps in sound : sad, yes, but the rest of the film made up for it 😊. I loved Charles Laughton's portrayal of the famous actor : vain , but a sweetie really.😊💙. His expressive face was a joy to watch😊. 🇺🇲⭐😊💙🦉🇬🇧
