Been there. I just want to tell you that we’ve all had our doubts,our questions,and problems. I had a few heartbreaks in the Church. I turned my back on a failing Church. I spent years of not being able to feel God. I would pray everyday to just Feel God. I didn’t doubt His existence. I just couldn’t FEEL ANYTHING. We moved into a house with a little country church. My wife started going ,,without me. They were going through a split. I heard about it and the pastor Was Not wrong. It was like a switch was flipped and there was God. What I learned through it all was that emotion is not all there is. FAITHFULNESS. Give God a chance. He is Faithful. It’s not in a UPC church. But God is working in this little church. We have a ways to go but this is Gods calling. 50 yrs ago I started at a church where my first service was with 2 people. After2 yrs we were running 40. Let God lead you where he will. I know ONE THING. I don’t like me when I’m not in church. I’m gonna be praying for you.

I agree! I've heard 100's of preachers throughout my life (Lutheran, Methodist, Catholic, Non-Denominational, Baptist, and famous ones like Ravi Zacharius, R.C. Sproul, Kent Hovind, Ed Young, Chuck Smith, Charles Stanley, and others) and Brother Bernard is the best imho. I think his style is built on his training as an attorney. He builds his "case" point by point and comes to a crescendo, then pauses, then starts building to the next crescendo until the full and final point is made. no manipulative emotional tricks. Sincere, Godly preacher.

The lord let me know years ago that great persecution of the church is going to be needed in America in order to separate the church from the world. The devil is slick and pastors appear to not be able to recognize when the devil is at work. They love to talk about new methods but they stop relying on the Spirit and start realizing on the flesh and performance. And notice you don’t see the miracles . Not speaking about miracles at this church. But in many I have been to and observed. I remember when Lee Stoneking , Tw Barnes , Billy Cole among others would preach and in these conferences and legs would grow back.

I have to agree. We're struggling to find a good Apostolic Church in our area. We're not looking for a perfect church... just a Spirit-led, Spirit-filled Church where there's no performance. We're sick and tired of flashing light, choreography, and literal stage performance in Church. If feels more like a club. Instead of pre-Service prayer, we have people sipping coffee from the coffee shop in the lobby. This isn't the UPC I grew up in. I'm worried about the next generation. The lights can't replace the Holy Ghost Anointing. Most people under 40 can't even sing a song from the Hymnal. We've gone charismatic while those without Truth are holding on to their convictions. It's sad.

@@Tammy-sd3sc The best thing one can do in this situation is to lead the way! Even if there is no pre-service prayer, you can pray before the service. You may not see the effect immediately or ever, but revival starts with one being revived. I pray that you can be the change.

@Sabrina Hallett Sabrina, we ensure we pray at home before Service because during Sunday School and prior to Midday Service, it's all coffee sipping and chattering. It's a shame how much Apostolics have changed. God's House should be a House of Prayer and many are trying to make in an entertainment center. Yes, our resolve is to ensure we're a part of The Church within The Church. For those of us trying to make a change, it gets more difficult as it appears the goal is to see how close we can get to the world. Being Apostolic is more than Acts 2:38 and our mode of dress...it's a lifestyle. We've hinged too close to the world that some of our Churches have gone full charismatic. It's a shame.
