theres columbia college chicago and temple univeristy. temple's dance program is more technical but they do have a hip hop minor. chicago has everything plus a hip hop minor and a b series where you could literally just do battles or have cyphers with other breakers, lockers, poppers and other aspects of hip hop. hope this helps and good luck on your search love!@@fabianabarcena8750

⁠@@fabianabarcena8750 yeah same, i was looking more so for hip-hop than ballet, i’m not sure if dance is what i definitely want to do for major, maybe as a minor if i could but i am kind of still wanting to look into my options. i don’t know what colleges/universities have good dance classes for major and minor !!

@7 omg same. ive only found that American University is beginner friendly for ballet and also teaches urban/street styles !! edit: UCR is really good too!!

@@cmxz As a dance major it isn't offered as part of the curriculum :/ but there are dance groups who do hip hop and students have taken hip hop classes on their own behalf through guest artists, I believe, pre-covid!

@@cmxz it depends on the college, UCR has hip hop and west African in the curriculum. UCI is known for its ballet program so it’s rare if you find a hip hop class.

Yes, but it is really so you learn termology. It is best to watch some KZbin videos before to know basics. Just an idea!
