good old Beck from early 90s, probably. If yes, so I do miss him too, although I still love Beck anyway.

Oh man, blast from the past. I think I downloaded this from Truck's website back in...1998? I never saw it anywhere else but there, except for IRC, and I'm pretty sure they got it from there too. Good lord I'm old. Beck is awesome.

'1 foot...' is what I'd define as a GEM in its purest. well, i dont really know how to put into words what this album has meant and means to me, besides that.

Beck was legally able to record and release indie material simultaneously while under contract with his major label. Talk about the best of both worlds. One Foot In The Grave is a lo-fi/indie masterpiece. Moody, stark and surreal. Good luck in finding a copy! Realeased through Calvin Johnson's K Records.

According to Whiskeyclone, this one was just written for no reason in the basement of a place they were recording at. They just had a nice little jam that stuck.

My mom used to frequent Whiskeyclone when I was a kid. Seeing that name in 2020 is a real trip.

Yeah definitely, One Foot in the Grave really is great...especially "He's A Mighty Good Leader", "Cyanide Breath Mint", "Asshole", and "Atmospheric Conditions"...yeah and steropathetic is a pretty damn cool album too...ah 90's indie, so tasty!

can anyone confirm that his backup singer in this album was 1/2 of Halo Benders??? i'm not sure if i hear both of them. if so can anyone tell me they're names. (bought this in a used cd store)

The other singer on this song is Sam Jayne, RIP. Calvin Johnson from Halo Benders sings on some other songs on the album.

The beginning of this song sounds very similar to Damon Albarn's History of a Cheating Heart.
@runnersdialzero33312 жыл бұрын
No worse than any other religion, it's just that people have gotten used to the horrors of Christianity etc. over time. Regardless, Beck doesn't strike me as some kind of fundamentalist or religious nut given his lyrics and songwriting.
