Man, I miss the 80's! I graduated in 1980 and grew up with music from Ted Nugent and so many other great bands. They don't make music like that anymore! 👍👍

I'll never forget watching one of many shows of his. This was a small local gig of just a few hundred. I was standing next to a fence at the stage. He was doing the stranglehold lead and he saw me playing air guitar. He stepped off the stage to that fence right next to me and just lights it up. He finishes and throws his hand out to me over the fence. I reach out and we do a solid handshake and he heads back to the stage. One of life's highlights I'll never forget. Long live Ted.

@@iggypopisgod9 why's that? Do you think The Nuge doesn't shake hands with his fans or something? Just curious about why you so strongly felt like it was something the guy made up that you felt the need to call the man a liar. Ted Nugent has probably shook and/or bumped hands with hundreds of thousands of people in his lifetime. Just because you sit in your room and don't do anything doesn't mean that there aren't others out there who do live life to the fullest.

@@ducksoff7236 First of all, Einstein, I didn't say "redefined"; I said "refried" (the former gives way too much credit to the Motor City Moron). There's an old saying: There are innovators and there are imitators, and guess who's the innovator here. Chuck is the father of rock guitar, and Ted is the father of being a loud-mouth asshole (and I'm not commenting on his lack of talent for this reason). Thery're also not from the same era. '50s vs. '70s. Even Ted admits (surprisngly for Mr. Ego) that Paul McCartney once said that he (Ted) had never had a good musical idea in his life. Right on, Paul. Legends? There are all sorts of rappers who are now considered "legends." Do you want to tell me those Bozos have any talent because they're rich and famous? Lastly, your use of childish, vulgar name-calling (maybe you're a Trumper. like Ted) is not impressive and just might get you kicked out of junior high school some day. In fact I could turn around Duck Soff with just changing two letters and probably make your moniker more accurate...but that would be too easy. Rock on.

Never forget my 1st seeing him. It was at a small local teen club in MI of only a couple hundred in “69”. He jumps out on stage as the Amboy Dukes Greg Arama, Andy Solomon, and Dave Palmer are building up a song.He was wearing nothing except a tan leather loincloth, full Indian headdress, and a neck choker. He jumps out onstage screaming with a bow & arrow and jumps up on top of his amplifier, drills an arrow perfectly in a deer decoy hung on a pole that has been placed barely above the audience. Throws the bow and arrow down with the band building up a song, and puts a Bowie knife in his mouth, slings up his guitar and with a thousand decibels steaming from it, jumps off the tall amp onstage again, perfectly to the opening downbeat of the song not missing a beat and throws the knife into the deer as an afterthought never missing hardly a note on his guitar, still screaming the whole time. Those were the days my friend, Good Golly Miss Rolly. Made such an impression on me I decided to play rock & roll in a band.

@@drivinsouth651 it is quite backwards. The ones calling others Nazis are the very ones acting like Nazis. Wanting to stamp out anything and everything that does not agree with their ideas/ideology etc. This type of obfuscation is taken directly from "Rules for Radicals" Saul Alinsky who was known as the American Karl Marx. Stating that one should point the finger at another group when the very group they are in or associated with is doing exactly what they say the other is doing. Simply to take the attention off of themselves. I could go on however, I get the feeling that as many do these days I will be treated as the nazis because I have a difference of opinion or political beliefs. Because it is much easier to stamp out than it is to have a real dialogue.

Hey everyone! Just wanted to say thanks for all the great comments and subscribing to my channel. I thought that my brother and a few of his friends would appreciate this ... and then all y'all showed up! I particularly love the "filmed on duct tape" comment. No. Seriously. It was damn funny. I just hope he appreciates that I was standing there nearly 40 years ago, probably late on a school night, with my finger on a giant metal lever attached to a machine that weighed almost as much as I did, timing & waiting for the commercials to start & end to get this footage. And I was/am all GIRL. Go figure. Anyway ... I found some more footage - Van Halen, Triumph, Scorpions, Judas Priest, etc. It's crappy quality too, but I still think it's great to see. I'll be uploading them soon and hopefully it'll be a nice blast from the past. And to the haters out there I have this to say: If this footage upsets you in any way, maybe you should go somewhere else to play. This is entertainment and most of the people here don't sound so angry. Join us! But if you want to comment how much you can't stand Uncle Ted, go ahead. The discourse is also entertainment. Thanks again and stay tuned! And if you're watching this Ted, well.... thanks for letting me post this and I'd still stay up late on a school night to see you make music & make me laugh.

Thanks to my 10 year older brothers, I grew up listening to the music of the generation before me. Even though I grew up in the 80s. 60s and 70s rock is my jam.

Late 70's and early 80's was the time that music really soared. Not just in rock, but all sorts of other genres as well.

Sometimes when I've seen Ted recently I thought , what an obnoxious ass, then I see something like this and remember what a charismatic, talented guy is he is. Like a jet fighter pilot, there is no way to be that cool and gifted and not be cocky. My brother had "Double live gonzo " back in about 77', I always loved "Great White Buffalo" awesome song.
