@The Amber Heard Playlist!! Strange, when I search for "carry the water to the desert" absolutely ZERO bible verse is shown in the search results. Perhaps you dreamed about it because it sure as heck did not come from the bible. As for Amy Grant pandering to the homosexuals, well, I don't think she is reaching the lost but rather encouraging them in their sins!!! That's a very big difference! Why don't you dig around and see how Ray Comfort deals with those who say they are homosexual and see the difference?

@The Amber Heard Playlist!! *_‘Don’t be afraid, you’re loved.’ Gay. Straight. It does not matter.” It “doesn’t matter how we behave. It doesn’t matter how we’re wired,” Grant said._* *_“We’re all our best selves when we believe to our core: ‘I’m loved.’_* These are quotations from her own mouth as to what she believes - clearly not the gospel at all. No mention of sin, repentance or receiving mercy from God because of the work of Jesus on the cross. Nothing. Nada. Zip. She is NOT evangelizing. As Jesus said - he who doesn't gather with me, scatters.
@kevinrtres

@The Amber Heard Playlist!! NO, I did not misquote her!!! Those are the exact quotations as reported by multiple media outlets - go fight with them! She says there are just two things - Love God and love your neighbour - then she falls flat on her face on the first one - Jesus says - If you LOVE me you'll keep my commandments. Then going back to Leviticus 17,18, 19 and 20 you'll see exactly what Jesus thinks about sexual sin such as homosexuality. Read the story of Sodom in Genesis 19 to see the total depravity that homosexuality sinks to. Then read Jude 7.

@The Amber Heard Playlist!! I see your bias - your find no wrong with homosexuality - why is that? Did you not read what the bible has to say about it? I would truly like to hear your reasons for being unmoved by the fact that there are people that are actively engaged in homosexual acts - or transgenderism for that matter. I'd like to hear your opinion on Genesis 19 ( and the preceding chapters leading up to it ), Leviticus 17 thru 20, 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 and Jude 7.

I grew up loving Amy Grant and her music since my parents got saved when I was 13 years old. HI got saved when I was 9 years old . But when I was in my early 20s I fell away from the Lord and lived a life of homosexuality. I walked away from the Lord because I was confused then I went to gay Christian churches trying to make God fit my narrative. My mom loved me she never gave up on me she loved my partner she never gave up on my partner. But not one time did she affirm me and my beliefs or my lifestyle. Not one time did she say homosexuality was not a sin. My mom told me I was living in sin. And I still never questioned her love for me or my partner. I knew she loved me but because she stood by God‘s word I repented and renounced homosexuality and I came back to the Lord and I serve Jesus faithfully now, with no wavering. You can love a person trapped in sin without loving the chains that bind them and hold them in the sin. My mom prayed The spirit of homosexuality off of me. 15+ years of living in bondage but now I am FREE !!! I praise God and thank God for people who did not love me into Hell! But instead loved me into repentance and into the arms of Jesus!

He totally understood my decision and after that he respect me even more. You see, accepting what we should not doesn't make us a better christians. I had an uncle who was gay. But, when he gave his life to Christ, he really gave his life to Christ! No compromises. We talked a little about it towards the end of his life, and he said the most important thing in life as a Christian is to honor the Lord and live a life pleasing to Jesus. He was a beautiful, humble soul. He set a wonderful example for me. He passed in 2017. I know he is rejoicing in heaven with Jesus.

@The Amber Heard Playlist!! Yes, I understand it. But even if I didn't, the Bible is clear on the subject, and as a Christian, Jesus is my Savior and my Lord and it's good for me to submit to His best. Deviant sexuality isn't His best. Any "information" that says otherwise - I have to break it to you - is not new, postmodern, "on the right side of history" : the Bible clearly shows people breaking the rules going back to the beginning of time. There is nothing new under the sun. Evil is still evil, good is good, and they cannot be mixed. :)

My daughter is gay and legally married, according to Colorado law, to another woman. That woman’s family is 100% accepting of their relationship; we are not. I love my daughter, and very much desire a relationship with her…which although is strained, it is on going. She was very hurt that her family did not attend her wedding, and is downright mad about it! She cannot understand that our Christian faith prohibits us from celebrating something that we know to be a sin, but despite that, we love her! We have never turned our back on her, but she has “disowned” us countless times. Prayerfully, there will be a transforming of her mind, and she will turn to Jesus, accept HIS merciful grace, & honor HIS WORD! We rest and trust in HIM who saves! I keep her partner in my prayers too. To GOD be the glory!

I love love love your show! ❤ Some people would argue, by not attending a gay wedding we aren’t loving the person. But who deserves the honor, God or the sinner? You make some very valid points that by showing acceptance of a gay wedding it is dishonoring to God and a conflicting witness to others. You deliver these points with loving kindness. Thank you, Beckett. May God bless you richly for not being influenced by the culture and standing firm on God’s word.

I came from a Christian home, but got caught up into same sex relationships which led to a same sex marriage in 2010. My family always showed us love while never compromising the truth of God's Word. I began seeking God a few years ago. He began working in my life changing me. I began sharing the truth with my "wife" and we eventually moved into separate bedrooms. Just this past week, the divorce finally happened peaceably. I have shared the Gospel with her many times and am still praying the Lord will reach her. I am thankful that my family didn't compromise on truth and "love" me into hell but rather displayed true love which led me back to Jesus and freedom.

@dlzarn My parents always would send birthday cards, Christmas cards, notes of encouragement to both of us but always individually and not as a couple. If she was sick or going through something, my Mom was great for using that as an opportunity to share words of encouragement and bring the gospel into it and reminding her or me that they were praying. Always willing to help in practical ways when we needed help with something. They truly just showed us love in practical ways, using any opportunity that arose to show the love of Christ and point us to the gospel and Jesus. They made it clear where they stood on the subject and why, but always treated us individually with love and respect. They would not indulge us by using terms like your wife or even referring to us as being married. They just consistently showed love towards us both in ways that even if they did not embrace our relationship, neither of us could deny they truly loved us both.

@@Kristina_Abel thank you SO much for your reply. This is SUPER helpful. I have struggled personally with how to treat a Christian brother who is currently choosing to serve his desires over serving God as he once did. He has pulled away from me. I never shunned him. I love him so much and pray for him often. I also lead a small Bible study and this very topic has been challenging to our group as a whole. I know we can not applaud or approve, but struggled to explain to my friends how to love them differently than the world prescribes and how that is MORE loving than encouraging the lies they live in bondage to.

That's not the only scripture he quoted. Whenever you listen to someone such as this broadcast that is trying to shed light on a very sensitive subject in the world, it should always be saturated with scripture to back it up. My parents had an experience similar to the family's story that Beckett recounted. When my sister was away at a Christian college, she started a lesbian relationship with a woman on staff. My parents were absolutely heartbroken. The college administration was cold and heartless in their response to the situation. They took no responsibility at all. It devastated my parents. They went to their pastor for help and found that he was basically sold out to the world and it's attitude about homosexuality, only adding to their pain. They then moved and began attending a new church. They went to their new pastor for help and counsel but encountered pretty much the same attitude. They were told that sin is sin. As if my sister's sexual relationship with another woman was no worse than any other sin, so why were they so upset about it. Just love her. What Beckett is doing is so valuable today. There are so many heartbroken families who have been let down by supposed church leaders as they struggle to figure out how to handle the situation they find themselves in. Thank you, Beckett! Stay on the narrow path and continue to lead others there! ❤

I ask because I'm finding people who believe this paradigm are often those affirming LGBTQ lifestyles which would seem to make sense to me. Otherwise, it would seem to me that their centuries-old paradigm would fall apart if they denounced them.

@@harpervalleypeeteeay9708 Yet scripture says that "If anyone is IN CHRIST they become a NEW CREATION, OLD THINGS ARE PASSED AWAY AND BEHOLD ALL THINGS ARE BECOME NEW." According to THE WORD that lives and abides forever, if you repent and turn to Jesus, what you will always be is: - Passed-over in the judgment of sin by the atoning work of the precious blood of Christ. - Born again by the indwelling of The Holy Spirit, Sealed by The Holy Spirit, Eternally one with God through the operation of the Holy Spirit, passed from spiritual death to eternal life through the power of the Spirit of The Living God. - Sanctified, set apart, eternally by His unfathomable grace and love through the true Jesus of the Bible and not a false fabrication. - free from the penalty of sin (past = The Cross where Christ became our Passover for Eternal Judgment) - free from the power of sin (present = sin's destructive force is defeated by walking in the spirit and growing IN HIM) - free from the presence of sin (near future when God's perfect plan is reality for us as it already is for Him who knows the end from the beginning) - Predestined to glory, true purpose of life now to reflect His glory as we grow IN HIM. Each one of us has a unique purpose IN HIM and the manifestation to come is infinitely beyond our comprehension... but what we lost when Adam blew it is nothing compared to this coming day of complete redemption spirit, soul, and resurrected body likened unto His own. You can see it in the violence of the OT, the Christians forget the wars and murders of innocent children and BABIES and pretend it didn't happen. You can look at history to the present day, and SEE that the killing hasn't stopped and never will. I’m a 60-year-old female and when I got saved it was in the early 80s. Amy Grant was one of my favorite people I looked up to her is such a strong believer. When I heard that she had left her husband and went with Mr. Gill it’s so hurt me because I followed her and her husband for years. I looked up to them. And while I still listen to some Amy Grant when it’s on the radio because I listen to the Christian radio, I still love her voice and the words that she speaks. But then I heard this message today from you, and I’m so taken back that she would even take the stance. It is not only offensive to God, to all of us who love her and looked up to her as a strong believer, but basically it is going to lead to so many down the road where their soul is condemned for all eternity. I’m praying for Amy and for contrition and I’m praying for all those who follow her to stop looking at the person but to keep their eyes fixed on Jesus for such a time as this. God bless all of you and to The gentleman who did this video I just Applaud you. I see Jesus in u. I have subscribed to your content and I will continue to follow you for you speak truth. @@debrakeeler2816 So like he was on drugs and would not stop, that is hard I am sure. I have had family members struggle too. However the mentality is to get a divorce and devisrate the 3 kids and hurt many who believed you were different ( not if the world ) and part of the body of Christ? So like I do not know if she tried a Christian marriage counseling, join Christian support groups, accountability groups.... Etc....What about “staying in the race “ like it says in the Bible. Ever hear of the book of Hosea? I have had challenges in my own marriage just like everyone else that’s why we have others to help us. The bottom line is she had an affair and that’s what hurt the body of Christ, her kids, and that’s what hurt her witness as well as our Lord. God has never left her or any of us when we make bad choices ( and we all have ) , we usually leave him first. God never stops loving any of us but he is a Holy God and disciplines those he loves. He does not bail on us even when we are weak or make bad choices and we all gave failed.... So we just just don't bail on our spouses unless it becomes abusive and or detrimental to ur life being in Jeopardy. She was given a high place by God that was a gift and still is. She was and is loved by many as an example of Christ. It hurt to see her afair and also in the above video to celebrate gay marriage as this goes against Gods plan not mine. That was the point of what I said. Love the sinner but gate the sin. please know that this is not a K bashing thing at all, I have family members that I love that are homosexual and lesbian and I love them with all my heart. However I love them more to tell them the truth of God has written in the word the Bible To pray for them, love them, and point them to the truth so that they can be in eternity for and forever. The thought of them missing out on being with God for eternity and separated from him in the other place terrifies me. I saw Amy Grant and Sandi Patti at a Christian woman's event some years ago. I loved their music in the 1980's, but since then Amy pursued Vince Gill while he was married. Sandi left her marriage for, if I recall correctly, a musician in her entourage. For their happiness and love, four families were shattered. Fourteen kids lost the security of living with both their parents. I believe in forgiveness and grace, but I wondered how many women at that conference were grieving their own faithless husbands and broken marriages, but had to sit and listen to these two women chirp about how happy they were. I didn't sense repentance, and here comes Amy, writer of the beautiful song El Shaddai, practicing her Cafeteria Christianity in which she picks and chooses what Biblical truths she wishes to obey .

P.S. I looked up who wrote "El-Shaddai". From this featured snippet on Google: It was written by Michael Card and John Thompson, using direct quotes from scripture as their inspiration, and recorded by Card on his 1981 debut album, Legacy. However, the best known version of the song was by singer Amy Grant, whose rendition was recorded in 1982 on her platinum-certified album Age to Age.

I loved the “ministry” of Amy Grant when I was a young Christian. I prayed for her every single day of my pregnancy when she was carrying Matthew, the child born after her previous miscarriage. I was very devoted to her because of the music and the way she represented the Lord. Then I won tickets to one of her concerts and the bubble burst that day. Amy was obvious an object of worship and idolatry and my eyes were finally opened to the “business” of Contemporary Christian music. Sadly, she is not alone. She’s a human being stained by sin just like the rest of us. And yet, she professes a relationship with Him without the fruits of what that “tree” and lifestyle looks like. We shall know them by their fruits. She’s been worldly all her career. Nothing new here. Not a fan, but she does need mercy and prayer.

My Grand daughter just turn 15 and we found out that she believes she likes girls . A couple of years ago we were talking about the gays Marring the same sex and I made the comment that if my son came to me and told me he was gay I would love him no matter what , but he knows where I stand in my faith with God , I said but if he came to me and said he was marrying a man that I couldn’t attend the wedding because it would say to the world and God that I approved of the sin. My Grand daughter started to cry and she’s not an emotional person to cry at things . Later my daughter told me that she was hurt because it was like I reject her and we still didn’t know at that time she had thoughts of being a lesbian. We just found out about a month ago that she has a girlfriend and I had taken her over to her friends house about a month before that and as I was driving home I felt in my spirit something wasn’t right and I prayed right then and ask God if there was anything going on please expose it and just a month later it was all revealed , now she wants to live with her Dad which he has never been a Father figure for the last 14 years of her life not even been a part time parent but because he thinks it’s ok for her at the age of 15 to have a girlfriend sexually and bring them together when she wants , she has chosen her Dad over her loving Mother . Jesus help us , this has been a nightmare. I know that the enemy is in full force trying to win all he can for Hell . All we can do is pray and believe that a miracle will happen and give God the glory for it . That is what I’m believing for , I even prayed for her to have a close encounter with heaven and hell if that’s what it takes to bring her into the truth of Gods word . She went to visit her Dad and spend a couple of nights with him and we found out that he brought her girlfriend over and he has never brought her back home and it’s been over 10 days . So we need all the prayers we can get .

As a mother of a son who identifies as gay, I searched for a very long time answers to this very issue of what will I do if my son decides to marry a man. When same sex marriage became a law I panicked and feared the future “wedding” of my son and partner and questioned what is the right thing to do. The “wedding” was a secret hidden from me. A wedding party” pic was posted on FB. So I found out that way. FF 5 years later this wedding has never been mentioned during any family get togethers. I love my son deeply and his mate but not their choice to live in sin. But I am strong in my faith and I believe every single word of the Bible. My sons status has never changed the truth or my relationship with him. I pray for him,and his partner continuously. I pray their hearts will accept the truth of Gods Word as the darkness falls from their eyes and causes a true transformation. Your testimony has relieved a pressure from me that my son does not have to experience tragedy in order to find and follow Christ. I used to be worried he had to go through a hellish experience to know God. Your Mother’s Prayers comforts me and assures me God is faithful to those who are still yet living in their sin and are covered in prayer as intercession is made for them. Thank you Beckett. I followed you on Eric Metaxas , KZbin and on your channel. I enjoy your content. For the record Amy Grant is wrong in her public gay affirming gay marriage stance. I shall pray for her too!💕 Love In Christ ✝️

Becket! You so kindly and intelligently and logically point out where world views diverge from the truth of God’s word. I’m so grateful for that. When I lived in El Lay, I was invited to a commitment ceremony of two gay friends. I was a Christian, but not living a particularly sanctified life, yet I knew this ceremony was wrong. I declined on the pretext of another engagement. After the ceremony, the couple had a party at their home and showed the video from their ceremony. I was trapped! It was the most uncomfortable I’ve ever been (outside a horrible blind date on a 3 hr trip to Catalina Island, but that’s another story entirely!), and after the video stopped, the couple asked me in front of everyone, “Well, wasn’t that just the most marvelous?” I don’t know where the words came from, but I said, “I don’t know why gays are so rabid to marry when the divorce rate between heterosexuals is slightly over 50%! And the divorce rate between people previously married is pushing 70%. (They’d both been married to women for over a decade before divorcing). What makes getting married so necessary?” They didn’t really have an answer, kind of mumbled about love, etc. Later, they whinge to me about how they thought I’d have been more enthusiastic. I told them they knew I was a Christian, and that by forcing their agenda was doing nothing to promote viable values. We had a very frank and honest discussion, and they were truly men I loved deeply. Long, short, they split up in a rancorous ‘divorce’ 4 years later. They both told me separately, that my quote on divorce stats rang in their ears and they held on longer that they’d have done otherwise because of those stats. What they failed to grasp was the part about promoting a life directly against God’s blueprint. It’s like cutting corners on an architect’s design. Yes, it CAN be done. Yes, the final building will stand, for awhile. But any little tremor, a fire, a flood, and that wrongly built edifice will collapse, while those around it built correctly will remain standing. We are built to God’s blueprint. Any deviation leaves crumbled lives.

"We believe that homosexuality is not a sin." When you hear statements like this made by a church, it should set off alarm bells in your heart!! It doesn't matter what WE believe. What matters is what God believes. When someone says "we believe" or "I believe", that's clear that they don't believe that the Bible is the Word of God. If they did, they would never cherry pick what verses are truth. There are lots of verses that make me feel guilty or confused. I don't get to strike them from the Bible. It is the HARDEST thing to love a gay family member, entirely because of the world's false definition of love. It seems, no matter what you do, you will be misunderstood. Remember, weddings are CELEBRATIONS. How can we stand before God and celebrate ANY sin? ♥️🇨🇦

In my observation, quite often people who are away from Christ don't understand how you can not see with someone/someone's lifestyle, choices, etc. but still love them and care for them. They tend to conflate the sharing of interests/opinions etc. together with friendship/love. I've had these discussion on various topics with many friends. They don't understand the concept 'love the sinner, hate the sin', I mean they understand what it rationally means but they don't _get_ it. They often feel that rejection of something they choose/like/way they live etc., is the rejection of them. Which we know isn't true, because we as Christians see their true value, as being the beloved children of God. But they don't know that. For them they are who they think they are, what they like, what they do, etc. So I think part of our witness is to show and convince them that not agreeing with something doesn't mean we condemn people. That we can love them even when they are very different from us. It's the Christian spirit. Love you enemy, be hospitable to your guests and visitors meaning those who are different from you (xenia hospitality and xenos, meaning the guest but also the strange/foreign one, was the one to whom we're called for hospitality). So witness patiently and good luck and it may take time.

Thanks for sharing! I had two friends in college who developed a lesbian relationship with each other by time we graduated. I remained friends with them and went to visit them when they moved to New Jersey where I lived. But when they invited me to their wedding I was so conflicted. I wanted to show them I cared about them but it felt wrong to attend the wedding. Eventually I came to that same conclusion, that being there meant I was celebrating their marriage and that wasnt something I could do before God. It would be lying to stay silent when they ask if anyone objects. So I told my friend that I loved them and cared about them both and wanted to continue our friendship and hang out, but I couldn’t attend the wedding in good conscience. They were very offended and haven’t talked to me since, and couldn’t understand it because a Presbyterian minister was marrying them, but I know i made the right decision even though I lost that friendship :(

I lovingly explained to him that I could not, in good conscience, as that would be like I was approving of that union. I have reinforced the fact that I love him dearly. When he has had a 'partner', I have been loving and kind to them both, but my deep beliefs/convictions hold strong and steady! I would love for him to listen to your powerful testimony! What a blessing I am sure you have been to many!

Thanks for your conviction to not going to a gay wedding. My 21 yr old daughter had a lesbian wedding a few months ago. I didn’t go because of my convictions to Christ. It was a tough decision and she told me if I didn’t go our relationship would be at risk. It’s been three months and I continue to pray for her and her partner to see the truth. She was very hurt but I stay in contact with her and let them both know that I love them.

These stories hurt the most because of the amount of her life she's losing to the permanent damage caused by that decision.

Your Absolutely Right ! My niece is gay, she kept wanting my approval of her life. I told her No to her lifestyle. But I told her I love her very much. But that Gods Word speaks against it. She invited me to her Wedding to her friend. I said I wasn’t coming. But that I still Love her. So that’s where we stand. We still speak and visit -
