David Jason still doesn’t miss a beat. The greatest British comedy of all time. Heartbreaking that roger Lloyd pack is no longer with us. He would have slotted brilliantly into that episode. All legends of their crafts. There’ll never be another like it. Only fools and horses, as funny today as it was when it first aired.
@SagaciousFrank2 жыл бұрын
Nah, stuff like this just rehashes the same old jokes and catch phrases and degrades the memory of when it was a great show. Obviously this was done after John Sullivan died, and the late comedy writer slipped up after making another Christmas trilogy after 'Time on our Hands', which in my opinion is the canon ending of this show. It's like with Red Dwarf, should've ended at the finale of season six. And Ricky Gervais shouldn't have done 'Life on the Road', just became a mockery what I consider to be the greatest British comedy show of all time, The Office.

I know he played football for both Manchester United and England and was a really good player but you don't see the same amount of 'celebrity' status amongst the other England and United players both current and past and in fact you don't even see it with the rest of the former Spice Girls! I'm Croatian but I loved watching OFAH, The thin blue line, Blackadder, Allo Allo, Vicar of Dibley, Fawlty Towers etc. Croatian TV had all of them on while I was growing up in the 90s and they were such a huge part of my childhood. OFAH was the best one though. Just hearing the theme music transports me in time, it's so weird but nice at the same time. Super nostalgic :)

OMG! Been feeling really stressed, just needed to decompress, this has done the trick; Mr. Beckham doing the "Del Boy fall", fan-bloody-tastic! So thankful for this amazing show and the genuine laughs it has given me over the years, it never gets tired. Big-Up Comic Relief and all the vital work they do to support so many people from all walks of life in their time of need. Despite the systematic/ perpetual embarrassment at the establishment and their antics, there are some really good reasons to be proud to be British - Only Fools & Horses and Comic Relief are two of them. Viva Hooky Street, c'est MAGNIFIQUE! :0)

Agreed. Bar the odd gem, British comedy (especially from the BBC) has fallen WAY short. Speaks volumes that the most popular current comedy would be Mrs Browns Boys - absolutely terrible. By the way - you missed Blackadder, Dads Army, Red Dwarf and The Young Ones from the list! I’m also found of The Brittas Empire and Bottom, whilst recognising they’re not held in the same tier as the top level comedies. Similarly, think TV as a whole has fallen drastically. Bring back Saturday morning ‘magazine shows’ for kids, Grandstand in the early afternoon, and wholesome family shows in the evening (miss the days of Gladiators, Noel’s House Party, Big Break and the like) Sigh...

Best comedy show hands down. what is so funny about a man falling over?
@fiveowaf4542 жыл бұрын
@@MephProduction There is a scene in an only Fools and Horses episode, I think it was a Christmas one, where Del Boy is trying to look cool in the pub leaning on the bar trying to impress some women, He leans away from the bar and the barman flips up the hinged section of the bar to come out to collect some empties or the like, Del Boy trying to look cool leans back on the bar nonchalantly that is no longer there and falls over, if you watch the actual scene as it occurs and in context it's hilarious and so widely known and remembered still after decades that it was the moment they were playing on in this skit with Beckham. I guess "you had to be there" to be able to appreciate the comedy.
