A great story of your life with encephalitis. Still more be to be researched into this life altering illness. Back when I had this 35 years ago. Not a lot was known about effects after encephalitis.

Hiya lovely Becky! I have met you on the weekly Encephalitis Society Zoom calls so if my name comes up it after some time might ring a bell but please don't worry if it doesn't. I'm ever so sorry to hear that you had six massive seizures in the night and 11 days in hospital with viral Encephalitis and that it happened at a time in the middle of your A levels which I can well imagine that must have been a really traumatic time for you and your family.I think you are doing extremely well considering all you have been through and are struggling with and that you won't be able to get a job or go back to your academic self it breaks my heart. However I'm so pleased that you have been able to go abroad to several countries which is really amazing, get involved with volunteering for Headway which as you say can make you feel better about yourself and interact with other people and having your cat and your relative you can ring up whenever you are feeling low/upset/depressed is a good thing. You are "making the most of what you have got" that is my motto. I love your positive attitude about how well you have managed to adapt with your notepad and camera. I am glad that the big seizures have stopped but I'm sorry that you are still suffering from partial seizures. I would like to think that they one day might reduce in the future.🤞 Keep your chin up my friend. 🤗 You are a very intelligent young lady and so motivated "your story is SO inspirational to everyone"! You have been a good help to me too. Honestly MY LOVELY FRIEND IS A STAR! Believe me Becky. I wish you the very best of luck for the future! Paula

I would also like to add that it's great that you have your homemade information card that your cousin suggested it's a great idea and being really creative with your hands is good for your recovery my friend. I would take my hat off to you if I had one! You are one of the first new friends I have made. YOUR NEW FRIEND PAULA 🤗
