@Marc Galletti I think you're underestimating contemporary younger players. Some of them harbor such attitudes, but most don't. She coached the Spurs' summer-league team to a championship and by all accounts the players had the utmost respect for her. There's always resistance to something novel until it happens a few times, then everyone gets accustomed and eventually it's accepted. This was the case with the first minority athletes and coaches. If and when she becomes a head coach, which seems likely, there will be some resistance from doubters and skeptics, but if she does well, which also seems likely, female coaches will be just as accepted as minorities are now.

Disagree with Shannon, I don't think the fans would have a problem with a woman head coach, if anything, I think fans would love it. It's the PLAYERS. A lot of these professional athletes have massive egos, and may have a problem taking orders from a woman. But really, it's no different from having a female boss, which many people have. I hope she gets an opportunity, not fair that man coach women's teams often, and no one says anything bad about that.

Lol at these nephews getting offended by a woman possibly coaching an NBA team. If she’s qualified and can coach she deserves a fair shot like everyone else. Nobody’s saying she should be ahead of the line for a coaching job but she’s certainly making a case to be in it.

As a male, The thought of her being a coach of my favorite NBA team excites me and I cannot for the life of me understand why others would repudiate that thought. Male or female, black, white, or purple if you can coach you got my endorsement. Women command a different kind of respect then men that I think can be advantageous to an NBA team. She has the basketball iq, give her a shot.

It require the most high of skill, talent and respect from nba players. To coach a team.
