Wow this is awesome! For one that deals with depression I'm either ocd or a slob. There isn't a balance. I can go months and it's becomes so out of control that I get so frustrated and discouraged. I think this would help me eventually declutter. Clean a room a day therefore I be really could possibly get to those areas that go unneglected.

I store my kitchen pan lids in the drawer under my stove. That saves so much space in my cabinet! I don't have very many nonstick pans anymore, I switched to cast iron.... Just recently my wonderful dad built me a beautiful custom shelf on the wall in my kitchen where they now hang beautifully 😍 Thank you for the cleaning inspiration! Today I'm cleaning our master bedroom, hanging new curtains & adding new photos/wall art 😊

I usually take a couple of evenings and fold like 5 or 6 pieces and put them away every 30 minutes over the course of a few hours. It at least helps to chip away at it until you finally do decide to tackle the entire load. Usually I end up going ahead and folding a bit more than those 5 or 6 items. Every little bit helps. Hope this little tip helps.

Not a mother myself, but I do take care of my disabled mother. I've been in a depressive slump for years and busy nonstop with work that I had little to no time to clean the house so it became an absolute disaster over the years. I'm currently looking for another job and my mom is coming home from out of state in a few days so I'm trying my hardest to buckle down on cleaning. I have really bad clinical depression. And it’s really hard for me to be motivated to do things like cleaning up my room and finish setting it up like I wanted. The best thing that helps me if reflecting, so I reflect whatever people do around me or what I’m watching. Whether that’s studying, reading, watching people do speed art and talk so I can motivate myself to do my art, or cleaning. I really sat here for an hour just watching you clean which helped motivate me to get up and clean my own room. Thanks 💚

Spongey shelf liners you get from the dollar store are perfect for keeping carpets from moving around and they don't ruin your floors. They cause just enough friction, most of the time. If they still slip then you can use painters tape to tape the liner to the floor. The low tack of the tape keeps from having too much residue. Thanks for all the great ideas for cleaning!
