The pleasure was all mine. I think that the tip you gave will help most windsurfers step up their game and gain more knowledge of their equipment. By sticking to what you've got you'll be forced to experiment with thing like boom height, mast foot position, outhaul, downhaul, etc Besides that you'll learn how to make the most of and control your gear in extreme situations. Thanks for sharing Tom. See you on the water!

i'm a bit in that bring one set of gear situation, but i usually still speculate and get back to change boom height, mast foot position and adjust downhaul/outhaul all the time.

Hi Peng, that's awesome! It means that by using less gear you have gained a better understanding of how to TUNE your gear! It only takes a little time to make small adjustments and gives you a better understanding of how it all works! I do the same! Have fun and... See you on the water!!

Utter nonsense. You ll be super frustrated as the gear you needed is at home. If you only have an hour, pick something and sail, fair enough. But to load the car/van on the forecast alone is daft beyond belief. Sorry windsurf coach, this time you have it completely wrong. I am not saying you need all the gear, and if budget is an issue, stick to one board and just a few sails, but bring options. We all have busy lives; work and family responsibilities to juggle. When you have the time to sail you don’t want to bounce around on the wrong kit and call it learning…. That is simply an insult to yourself, as well as the family and work commitments that have been sidetracked so you get to windsurf when the conditions are on. I am not attacking you, your channel is great, and I sure you are too, but dear oh dear,…

@@windsurf888 thank you for sharing you view. In my opinion everyone must do what works best for him/herself of course. I must admit that I throw an extra sail or 2 into my car when I’m not sure about the forecast, but once I made my decision I’ll stick with it. For me that worked, helped me maximize my time and taught me a lot in the past. The main thing is that you’ll have fa great time out there. Have fun and…. See you on the water!!!!
