ok, update. i’m a bit disappointed. i was under the impression that this was a limited time event but this entire area is a permanent addition to the game according to sso’s instagram. they sprawled a permanent feature over the course of the next 4 weeks….which is disappointing. they could’ve easily added this in a week and still had the birthday event. idk. weird. LOL.

Frr there’s nothing to do other than jousting, I couldn’t even buy that lovely blue top with the white puffy sleeves that I wanted :( Also, just an edit.. : nothing to do with sso but like.. it feels like it’s been a century since last Wednesday and I’m not old enough for a job, I’m not in school and it’s just really depressing how slow time is going, and I was hoping to be able to play sso for a few hours even if I was just able to buy new hair, and clothes yk?

Ok lemme just say I was sooo excited for this and as a non star rider I was expecting a moorland area but obviously that’s why they gave out a free star rider code. So yeah the whole update took me like five mins to complete and that’s me for the whole week. There’s not anything else you can do besides the jousting and you can’t earn tokens or something plus all the clothes are so expensive. So basically jousting is all I get to do for a whole week and that’s me done

The fact it’s permanent is baffling…it just feels like once everyone is done with their house it’ll just get forgotten?? And why is it in a field?? There is a whole ass castle in golden hills😭

I think people would have loved this update more if SSO created a enitre new questline around it with lore and adventure. The questline would be a permanent addition next to the event. This would have been a perfect oppurtunity for the team to start developing Marchenhast castle up in Golden Hills valley. The questline could have been about the history of this event and where it came from. And the real history behind it could be that the mediviel event is tied to the history of the castle and whatever happend to it. Then later this year they could have started the new side storyline of exploring Marchenhast castle and solving the mystery behind it. It would be fun if that would allow us to time travel to the past and connect the past to the future. And possibly help make it a museum or a new homestable so people will visit it in the present day. And the quetsline could be extended by allowing us to finnally explore Northern Jorvik via the castle. A new pathway could be created that brings you to the first area (mystic valley as people call it now) and then we could open the North link passageway that allows people to travel to North Jorvik from Silverglade. And from there the story could be extended in multiple ways like a connection to the mainstory (Phine hill manor, Capepoint etc.). SSO really missed a massive oppurtunity with this event that would have lead to the release of the castle and North Jorvik.

definitely gonna wait for next week to see what content they put out for this. i don’t understand why they made it permanent? 😭 we legit still could have had the birthday event along with this. this could have been a great opportunity for them to open up that castle in golden. i’m also not a super big fan of how they spread major updates/events

tbh it was kinda disappointing for me, we only get to do one little race per day? for a week? wth. gen thought that there was going to be at least 10-15 mins worth of questing but we dont have even 5. im looking towards next week update, i really hope they add more playable content instead of just waiting for us to roleplay.

Honestly.....I am a LITTLE disappointed because lately it feels like sso just adds stuff in without putting more effort behind it than "here's some cute outfits and props for you to take pictures with. Can you imagine how much cooler this would have been if we had a whole questline to follow?? Like maybe it starts out as a renaissance fair put together by big bonny, and we volunteer to help out, but then maybe something happens and now we have a mystery to follow, or a culprit to catch, or SOMETHING. I feel like if this event came out 7 or even 5 years ago, we definitely would have had a quest to go along with it, because quests were a lot more frequent back then. Now it seems like the only quests we get are short mainstory quests and MAYYYYYBE a different quest every now and then (but it's also 5 minutes long. Idk, I just wish there was more immersion, and I'm not really a fan of how it was all spread out. Like yea the jousting was fun but once you complete that, there's literally nothing else :/ That being said though CERISE UNICORNS FOR THE WIN BOOOOO YOU ALL SUCK Jkjk 😝 but also how cool would a competition between the houses be? Like make it a server-wide event where choosing a house actually matters and you get to compete against players from other houses and work with players in your house to achieve certain goals? There is soooo much potential here but it feels like it won't ever be utilised.

They do that most sso updates and even if it would be part non star rider, most of it would still be for star riders. I was non star rider until I was level 17 and I just got lifetime sr 2 months ago.

I love the idea but to be frank I totaly agree I hoped for more. One race to earn a pledge and clothing that is nice but NPC dresses are wonderful. Im sad because there are dragons but you cannot buy them or anything. I hoped for at least two quests. Im dissapointed and sad at the same time

Literally so dissapointed with it, I was so excited all day then I played it and just O-O Everything is revolved around jousting and the jousting is kind of just a plain race.. Only thing that I'm excited for the the dragon pets, and their probably gonna be like 300 sc :(

Having like nothing to do the first week is just boring. Theres just one quest that lasts 20 seconds and one jousting race and then also, most of everything isnt even out like the dragons and new hairstyles. Its disappointing really to have us excited for this to come out and then getting boring results..
