1 step I forgot to mention for dream journaling for those that remember absolute zero is to reread and rewrite old dreams.

I always get motivated from your videos. I will definitely wake up through the night and will write my dreams right then and there. If necessary with the help of some water.

@@SenseisSecrets Hey, thanks for the encouragement. May I ask a question? This is probably the wrong place, but ... here goes. I mentioned lucid dreaming to my buddy. He's middle age, never had a lucid dream in his life. But he tried it, and with nothing more than WBTB and some intention, now has full blown lucid dreams everyday. Apparently for hours. He claims he can maintain the state as long as he wants, and he sometimes ends them early, or he would stay in bed 24/7. It literally took him days to start having them, then after some weirdness in the first month, dialed in and now his process is to sleep for 7-8 hours, get up, take a piss, then lucid dream. He averages about 10 hours a day in bed. He loves it. Traits he has: Hyperphantasia and the ability to sleep effortlessly for as long as he wants. Hypersomnia perhaps? In comparison, I've tried every technique under the sun, and get a few brief moments over the course of a month. It seems that some people are just wired to lucid dream, where others grind away for a brief, fleeting experience. Question: Is hyperphantasia the secret sauce to lucid dreaming? The ability to form extremely vivid mental imagery. And if so, should more work be put into our visualization skills? Curious your thoughts on this.

In the last 7 days I have written down 16 dreams. Some of them were very short and some had a lot of details. For 3 weeks I have been trying the Mild technique after every waking up at night. (I wake up on average 2-3 times every night). So far I have had 2 very short lucid dreams where one of them, was very strange because I remember the moment I went to sleep in the previous dream I woke up in the next dream conscious and after about 30 seconds I went to the next dream which started with waking up. I hope that soon I will have lucid dreams more often and they will be longer, thanks for the good advices!

People often worry about a short dream from mild or a short dream from ssild. After getting lucid, I don’t believe that the tech that you used to get lucid has any bearing on how long they are. As time goes on and familiarity with the dream and comfort while there happens, you should be able to get lucid earlier and earlier in the dreams.
@mn1chu809

@@SenseisSecrets I have a question about mild. Is it better to do a visualization of the most recent dream even though it was not very vivid or is it better to take a dream from 3 days ago that you remember better and with more details?
@SenseisSecrets
@SenseisSecrets 11 күн бұрын
@mn1chu809 I generally say to do the dream that stands out the most in your memory. I call it the “shiniest” dream. I want to feel a connection or a feeling to it. Similar to how I mentioned the feeling with dream recall in this video, it’s a different feeling for mild.

This was very informative! I actually never even thought about how incubation makes dream recall easier
@SenseisSecrets
@SenseisSecrets 11 күн бұрын
One thing I didn’t even mention is that one incubation tech is to continue the same dream throughout the night (or even multiple nights) and this makes recall way too easy.

Recalled 28 dreams each week for the past two weeks. Have had nine lucid dreams in past six weeks. In three weeks of the past six had two lucid dreams per week. All still very short. I’ve become a lot more aware of false awakenings where I’ve dreamt I reached for my recorder and recorded a dream, or reached for my water bottle to have a drink but just dreamt it and then realize I’m dreaming when I simultaneously awaken or it ends. They seem so short not sure should count them. I do not count them as LDs. Got the Covid and flu vaccines on Saturday which wiped my recall out into Sunday night /morning. To make up for it I meditated for an hour Sunday morning though really didn’t want to.
@SenseisSecrets
@SenseisSecrets 11 күн бұрын
As long as there is a real waking longer than a minute between, then I would count them as a lucid. You aren’t counting lucids in order to gauge how effective a technique is doing, not how good you are at control/stabilization

This is a really good video. I liked the very direct instruction on this topic and the accompanying music, really motivating vibes for me. I have been trying to build myself back up into lucid dream practice but over the years always fell off the routine. Every now and then I get a burst of interest again and try to recall my dreams, to become lucid and right now I am experiencing a drive for really figuring it out and this video helps a lot. Thanks.

I think it'd be better if you can lower down the background music a bit and i dont know if its just me but the transition sounds are a bit abrupt? tht aside I enjoyed this video a lot and it's a great one for beginners, I love how you rightfully emphasize a lot on intent.

@@SenseisSecrets @SenseisSecrets, hoping for the best! I know your content is geared more towards beginners, but would you consider discussing research on lucid dreaming? Or maybe sharing some scientific articles? I’m really interested in learning more about the science behind it. or Do you know any good places where I can read about it?
@SenseisSecrets
@SenseisSecrets 5 күн бұрын
I honestly just care little about the science of it. Similar to how I don’t care about the science to basketball. The “science” that I enjoyed the most has been psychology books about it and “conscious mind, sleeping brain”. In the ol discord there are some that keep up on the science more. I wouldn’t say that my channel is geared towards beginners as much as it is geared towards playing the game. Will be releasing more stuff about control and higher level lucid dreaming as time goes on (have done some of this in the streams) but it doesn’t matter to me if my brain does x or y while I sleep as long as my mind does what I want it to. Also, this isn’t to say that I won’t ever do a science related one, just that nothing science related at the moment sticks out. I don’t see how it enhances lucid dreaming or enjoyment of lucid dreaming, so it’s not my thing.

Keep pushing. Sometimes it will go up and down, but as long as you keep pushing and not stressing, you can see big big gains. Have the dreams increased in length or vividness?
@aquemi6591

@@SenseisSecrets hmm there were like 2 days last week were i could only remember 1 dream, but longer fragments than when i remember 3 or 4. and in vividness, all my dreams basically feel like real life, unless theyre like 2D
@SenseisSecrets
@SenseisSecrets 3 күн бұрын
@aquemi6591 I gotcha. In general, as recall goes higher and higher, it suddenly starts getting lower since people that had three dreams then realize that they were just remembering three fragments of the same dream. So the recall score is good to push a lot at first but then later it needs revised. Revised recall score has a stricter definition of what is a dream vs fragment.

hello please how to reprogram your subconscious in lucid dreaming for example if I want to stop smoking or stop watching pornographic videos how to tell my subconscious I don't want to smoke anymore or I stop watching pornographic films so that my subconscious reprograms itself in lucid dreaming

so would you say it's the amount of time you dream journal rather than how much material you write, like if i typed for 1 hour id have probably about 4 times as much written than if i used a pen and paper does that hold any bearing
@SenseisSecrets
@SenseisSecrets 11 күн бұрын
Writing has more effort so it can be more “intent” but also you can say that just having 4x as much material written is better when recalling it later when rereading, so it really does depend on which is going to actually be done every day. The most important part is time put in and consistency.
