I've finally played this today with my 5 year old and we've enjoyed! Granted, I went easy on him and let him win but I enjoyed finally learning how to play the game after many years. There are some things they didn't go over but it's fine. Its as plain as. It can get. Not a hard game to learn. I have been magic the gathering players transition pretty easily to pokemon, but i found it harder for pokemon players transition to magic the gathering. That's how easy it is to play pokemon even though they both have a similar game mechanic. Yugioh on the other hand has the most extensive and complicated card game mechanics in history for sure. I learned how to play the pokemon tcg from the pokemon. Tcg game from the original Game boy.

Notice that every card in the Academy is banned from standard format tournaments because of how old they are. People are actually paying money to buy cards they can't use in most tournaments! Which is entirely Pokemon's fault for making this product now, instead of back when the cards were still in rotation. Or better yet, just make an Academy with tournament legal cards!

The stinger went into his foot, which swelled a little. Jesus took the sting of death when He died on the cross. That is why Bible tells us, “Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?” (1 Corinthians 15:54-55) Death died when Christ rose. And as Christians, we will live forever. That is the hope the Bible gives us

Wait I don’t understand when can you draw cards? I know when there is like a trainer card that says “draw 3 more cards” and then you can take but if your out of cards in your hand what do you do or do you take one every turn?

Hey I am new to the Pokemon TCG by purchasing the Battle Academy game. I already been through twice going through the tutorial, so I am good to go....however there are two things that I wasn't sure about 1) do you move a benched pokemon into the active spot if the previous pokemon was defeated or needs to retreat because it was low on health? And 2) I had Yamper defeated and it goes to my discard pile. I hold in my hand a Boltund Stage 1 Pokemon, Yamper evolves into Boltund but Yamper was already defeated. What do I do with a stage 1 pokemon card without its basic Pokemon?

Hey there - seeing no one got back to you yet, I will give it a go (I never played this before, but from what I understand, these are my answers; if anyone sees I'm mistaken perhaps they can add their own comments): 1) Yes, you move your benched Pokemon into the active spot if the previous one was defeated. Retreating it because it's low on health is up to you (as long as you have the energy required to retreat it). Now... if your Pokemon is defeated and you have no Basic Pokemon on your hand, do you keep drawing from your deck until you get one?? That I don't know... 2) If Yamper is already defeated then I suppose you can no longer use that Boltund (unless you have another Yamper in your deck?)

every turn you draw 1 card from your deck. There are cards you can play that allow you to draw more during your turn though.
