Having just started playing team volleyball as a 162cm opposite this totally helped me to develop a better mentality to train more and play harder. Thank you very much!

i am 6'4ish and 18 y/o been playing volleyball for 1 entire year as middle blocker, its like the only position i ever played. Unfortunately i dont think i will be growing much more than this. I cant stop thinking that i am wasting my time in this position, is just that i am a bit taller everyone else in my team. Its feels super good to play middle, but i dont think i will be able to go further in volleyball just staying like that. Now i really want to try and start play opposite or outside, but is really hard to escape now that i established my base as a middle blocker in my team.
@VolleyCountrycom Жыл бұрын
I understand and it is not always easy to change position. Speak with your coach about your idea to become opposite or outside hittet👍 From my own experience it is easier to change from outside hitter to opposite, so you can take it to consideration if you want to try these two positions😉

@@LucasPhKZbin it'll come with time, youll get your timing down once you get enough reps Also timing is different with every position so your timing will probably be easier for some than others

Hi Jiri, first of all your videos are reslly good and useful, thank you for all of them. I am a middle blocker but mostly because of a team need rather than personal choice and I really love spiking much more than I love blocking. I've been considering switching positions from middle blocker to opposite hitter. I have a good vertical jump and attack. What are your thought on this? Thank you.

You can try to change position, I started as opposite and then played OH👍😉

I'm 15 years old and 167 cm with 278cm reach I really can't spike from right side because it feels so unnatural. Hitting from left side is so much easier because i just face the setter while doing my footwork but from right it feels weird to just facing forward

It is normal😀 Most right handed spikers have problem with attacking from right side😉 I will make a vdeo about it👍

Me trying to be a really good opposite at 178 cm watching this. In attacking, whenever there's a really strong block infront of me, I tend to swipe it off the block or tip it behind them and in service, it varies, but still have a long way to go HAHAHAHHAHAHAHA
