Welcome everyone to a brand new series on the channel featuring the newly released Master Duel! Please give feedback on if you'd like to see the series take a specific direction, as my initial intention was simply to document my experiences as a player through the game. I'd love to know your thoughts, however, so let me know! Also, I can run an adjacent budget-oriented series if you'd like me to stick with that theme, since I'll likely be investing some money into this game later down the line. Time will tell! In any case, I really hope you enjoy! This is super exciting stuff and I cannot wait to upload TONS of Master Duel content in the future :)

The moment my friend informed me that Tiger and Tenki are unlimited in MD, we instantly decided to build the Lunalight Time Thief we remembered and added some new techs since Tiger's ban. It was so fun to be able to play this deck again haha!

I'm so excited to try playing Lightsworn Shaddoll with 3x Grass, this is the first deck I'm focusing on getting. I wasn't playing while Grass was legal in TCG so it should be really fun.

I spent about 5 hours on the game and almost have a full lyralusc tri brigade deck. Thought it’d be good to make since I can make many variants with the cards. It’s insane how easy it is to get stuff

I didn't know Evilswarm Nightmare was a Rare! Definitely picking it up. I was sold on this game as soon as I saw Tiger was legal and made a Luna Tri deck f2p (though way more painfully than I could have)

I invested into phantom knights last night since the area around me is a bit far from a game store that does yugioh nights consistently. Almost have the entire deck done. Just need about 6 extra deck cards and 5 main deck cards. All UR of course lol.

Got together a TCG meta Tri-Lyrilusc deck I’m using, it feels pretty F2P friendly as well. Only took about three hours to get together minus some UR extra deck monsters. Would be down to see your take on it now with this TCG/OCG blended banlist.

If you open more packs and get an unnecessary amount of common and rare crafting materials, I would recommend spam generating your cards until you get them as foils if you want some rarity bumps.

Are the rarity bumps random, or is there a specific way to get upgrades?

@@SirEmanon theyre random, you just spam out generates and you eventually get it. It took me around 45 generates to make a foil for a rare, it could take less but usually not much more than that

I’ve been messing with thunder so far. Nemeses corridor can recycle the banished colossus and then summon it. Also titan can pop scythe

Thanks for the awesome decklist! Might not be really related to master duel itself, but what are the changes you'd make to the deck if you had access to all cards with 3 tenki and 3 tiger allowed? I'm asking since you did mention how you got some staples like book of moon due to the low rarity, and I want to play Lunalight on stuff like YGOpro where you don't need to craft anything or worry about rarity.

I'd probably cut the Lunalight Fusion, Reborn, and some of the budget staples for more hand traps (Impermanence, Nibiru, Gamma, etc.) are all pretty solid! I'd also try and fit Borrelsword into the list, as well as Rank 4's like Dweller, Tornado Dragon, and links like Apollousa.

@@SirEmanon Thanks for the reply! I took out 2x book of moon, 3x chalice, lunalight fusion, and reborn for 1 more copy of MaxxC, 3x gamma, 3x imperm. Should I keep the 3 cosmic cyclones or switch them out for something? And as for the extra deck, I'm new to Lunalights, so what extra deck cards would I take out to fit Borrel, dweller, tornado drag, and apollousa? Sorry for all the questions! Really appreciate all the help ^^

No problem! I think Cosmic/Twin is fine considering how much Eldlich is running around. To fit the Extra Deck stuff, you could cut all the fusions besides 1 Panther and 1 Leo (to make Leo with Wolf), then cut a copy of Nightmare to fit the rest in :)

Thanks! I think if you wanted to make a Fusion heavy build you could orient the deck more in that direction too - there are many ways to play the deck (I have like, 4 builds on my channel already haha). Thanks, and best of luck on your MD journey as well!

Thanks! So you can either craft a SR of the packs, which includes Tiger and some of the Lyrilusc cards like Wagtail or Bird Call, or you can hope to pull some of the holo ones from other packs

Thank you! I don't play a lot of Duel Links myself so I can't comment too much on that, but from what friends have told me, Master Duel makes cards quite easier to acquire by comparison through the crafting system, so even if you pull cards you don't want, you can always eventually obtain everything that you want!

do you think a build similar to what you used in the mbt tournament would work well? ive been using one and ive got to plat 5 but the more control decks i play against the more i lose and i find that it loses to one to two interrupts on most hands

Yeah I think that the build I played in MBT's tourney is a bit too fragile for the reasons you mention - I think a more "midrange" style build works well with both Tiger and Tenki at 3 (when I made the point in my video, I was assuming Tenki would be at 1 forever but MD format is crazy haha)

I've definitely considered them! I think I'll probably build towards just a very consistent, "midrange" style build like I played here however, since it performed pretty well without having to incorporate too many bricks while being able to play around disruptions at the same time ^^

i have a question. in the story mode what are those color orbs at the top of the screen on the main menu? also, is luna night fusion not a thing anymore in this game?

The orbs are there to unlock the gates, which require a certain attribute depending on which story you're on. Also, Lunalight Fusion is in the deck list! It's right after Foolish Burial Goods :)

If you craft one of the SR's (a copy of Tiger), it'll unlock the secret pack that contains the archetype and you can spend your gems on that to get the cards :)
