I absolutely love your You Tube channel. I think you are the most humble and down to earth man. Thank you for the work you are doing. I am in awe of neurosurgeons and the hours and workload they have. I honestly don’t know how you do it, but God! God bless you and keep educating all of us! PS Loved your story and your handsome, smart son. Can’t wait to hear your wife too, and see a lot more of your podcasts.

I'm very impressed by your 2 man team! If I wasn't already consuming your videos as soon as they drop. I would think there was some kind of PR team behind this...but I know better. 1 of my favourites being when Dr Hoeflinger domenstrates the effects of alcohol and cannabis combined together on the body and brain. With visual representations! Love your content!

It’s good to see a humble doctor. I’ve seen a lot of very rude and entitled doctors. Like a god complex. Very refreshing to see.

It was a pleasure seeing this first episode, and I really hope that we are able to see more in the future. I am going to start college in September, and going to take a neuroscience course for my very first time. I hope that one day I could become a good neurosurgeon as you Doctor Hoeflinger! Thank you for sharing your experiences.

Dr. Brian: The following is part of a "Foreword" that was written for an account of the assassination of President Kennedy: "There is implicit in all human tragedy a waste, a pointlessness. Tragedy unobserved is even more pointless. But tragedy unremembered surely must rank with profound sin." So, it is good that we remember and learn from your family's tragedy through hearing you speak about it.

I work as an Occupational Therapust and have seen the after effects of drunk driving. Bryn Mawr Rehab used to have a wonderful program to try and prevent this. It is such a tragedy and the people who do this have no understanding of the ramifications.

Do the hospitals in Toledo have Scoliosis xray machine's?
@missmiss975 Жыл бұрын
Difficult question. In 2016 my son had a job site injury. He is now 30 and denies residuals. He is a welder and a heavy weight came down from the ceiling and hit his left frontal. He now has a similar Harry Potter scar. He was a trauma pt at presby in Pittsburgh, PA. Had a successful craniotomy/plasty. When I first saw him , I watched as his csf dripped down his hair. But he had no pain or loc. I've cared for pts with excruciating ha from spinals. Some require a blood patch for recovery? I know that this fluid is replaced quickly, but why did my son not have head pain. How could his brain remain buoyant with such a large loss of csf? Something I've always wondered but didn't ask. Thank you

Dr. Brian: Do you remember (or do your residency under or with) Dr. Paul Maurer in Rochester? He was or still is one of the top neurosurgeons in Rochester, I think.

@@doctorhoeflinger No, I don't know Dr. M. But he came to general attention in Rochester in 2009 when he did surgery on a police officer who had been shot in the head and, amazingly, survived.
