@benakay6 жыл бұрын
Highly impressive and congrats on your quest to becoming an ATP. Curious as to why you did your ME rating before your instrument rating? Is that the normal process? I was under the impression that you had to go PPL - IR - MER - CFI then Commercial. Kindly advise
@Trek2Greatness6 жыл бұрын
Hello. Thanks for the great feedback!! I will attempt to answer your question this way: ATP Flight School had a 100hr Multi-Engine program that went PPL-PME-IR-CME-CSE-CFI. This allowed students to spend more time in the multi-engine while on the crew phase of the program before moving on to getting commercial ratings and CFI. Commercial still comes before CFI in the new 50hr program. I hope this helps.

Great video, man. How did you pay for your schooling? Did you go for the loans available from ATP through Wells Fargo or Sallie Mae? I’m married with a kid on the way, so your videos really resonate with me. I need to be able to provide financially. Does your wife pay the bills mostly now? Or did you build some living expenses into the loans you got (if you did get loans)?
@Trek2Greatness6 жыл бұрын
Thank you, Logan! I was fortunate that my wife and I were able to make some serious sacrifices and move closer to the airport where my flight school is located. We simplified our lifestyle to live only on her income. Sallie Mae was the loan that worked best for us. For childcare, my folks live near by and are very helpful and supportive in watching our son. I believe that with a good game plan, others who are married with kids could make it through this program. I certainly won’t be the first to do so. Thanks for following along in my journey. Cheers!

Amazing video. Though money is tight rite now, even if I were to remove money from the equation, ATP sounds very intimidating by the way. I'm a private pilot non current right now fyi. Congrats sir, much respect!

Great videos ! Just some advice request I’m on my 7 hour for ppl and recommendations on Remeber things much easier as manuevers or briefs chair flying keep up the good work subscriber now
@Trek2Greatness6 жыл бұрын
Thanks Miguel! My advice is just repetition. Do it over and over again until it feels second nature. Maybe demonstrate the maneuver for a friend or family member. Record yourself on your phone's voice memo or other audio recorder talking through the maneuvers and then play it back for yourself in the car while you drive to your destination. I hope this helps. Thanks for subscribing!

Trek 2 Greatness thanks for the advice and yes I am chair flying a lot to Remeber the procedure for each manuevers and how is ATP I’m at a flight school now but I apply for ATP and I’m approved to go but not sure how successful is the program I see most plp on KZbin successful there would you recommend it any cons

I hear it’s better to get your multi after getting your commercial because then you have to take commercial SE then commercial ME checkrides
@Trek2Greatness6 жыл бұрын
Each path has its own unique advantages. The 100hr multi-engine program at ATP had you get your private multi before the commercial phase (what I did) so that you can build additional time in the multi-engine (which airlines like their applicants to have more of). ATP Flight School is phasing this out in favor of the way you are talking about in order to streamline the program a bit more.

But to be sincere I want to divert to what i have always love to do. Do I have a possibility ?
