Im 18 and ive been volunteering for VITA doing taxes since I was 16. This previous tax season I was certified to do advanced tax returns and my parents just keep bugging to get professionally certified so I could do taxes outside of VITA and get paid. I actually just started college at CSU Fresno for Business Administration and Management because of how much I love doing taxes at VITA.

I am 74 now. Start a tax business. Wish I had done this at your age. Working for someone else is adding to their wealth not yours. Besides you are working on your schedule, actually enjoying your life- working for the man 8 hrs a day 52 wks a yr 40 yrs. Later what do you end up with.

In 5yrs? Ok for a fact it still will. So many people from previous generations who still don’t understand how to use the internet are still around. So you don’t have to worry for the upcoming 5yrs. Maybe the upcoming few decades for sure though.

At the advanced level absolutely tax experts will be needed. The tax code is created by humans and inherently flawed, subject to interpretations, court cases, and changing compliance laws. As well as tax advice and strategy. You cannot teach this to AI.

I have used tax preparers that have missed clients identities and now I am having identity v theft issues since 1997 apparently over an estate and it's three times now my tax return is going to be delayed again for ten years or so. .

Generally, the IRS requires an individual to provide an SSN to get a PTIN. Because foreign persons generally cannot get an SSN, they must file Form 8946 to establish their identity and status as a foreign person. You must have a PTIN to prepare a tax return for compensation.

i received unemployment payments in 2020, then i received letter from LWF that i was not eligible for that and i have to repay all the amount you got in 2020...so i mailed check in 2021 to them of complete amount...now i wanna ask i got the unemployment and and paid full amount....so what i should do in tax return? 1) do i need to give my 1099G( unemployment amount) to tax preprayer to that this employment i got in 2020 2) do i get any credit or benefit since i paid all amount at once please guie me thank you

Great question. Most are very similar so consider choosing a tax software based on use and the number of returns to be filed. For example, there is a difference between a software used that you "pay per filing" or you plan to do many therefore you pay for unlimited filings.
