The 4 prequel novellas that compile Assassin’s Blade were written and released before Throne of Glass. Then later they were compiled and released as one compilation book with an additional novella as Assassin’s Blade. SJM started writing the story when she was 16. I definitely recommend reading AB before TOG.

I read the assassins blade after.. I feel like it spoils so much lol. But it kinda makes sense later on down the line. Maybe after the 3rd book would be best to read it. I’ve always been a fan of reading series in publication order. Except I read acotar first and it is and will always be my favourite series Sarah has written.

@@samanthafayee hmmmm...🤔 I think it doesn't matter however there is one reason for it but I don't want to spoil anything. I would say before you read the last book (Kingdom of Ash) in the Throne of Glass series, then do read ACOTAR 😉 As for the Cresent City series I strongly do then suggest reading ACOTAR first before reading the Cresent City series....I hope this made sense lol 😅 I feel like I'm everywhere on this question haha! My bad!! 🙊😂🙈
