6:15 That weapon is called “Kursarigama” or “Kursari” for short, the reason why there is a heavy piece of metal at the end of the chain is either used to bluntly hurt the enemy or to disarming the enemy by taking their weapon away, although the weapon is fun to use in-game but it is extremely difficult to master real life because every swing could go back to the user.

Fun fact the katana was used as a personal protection for day to day life not as a primary weapon for the samurai. the primary weapons were either a type of spear or a bow, swords were used rarely on the battlefield
