This is a very cool feature I'm surprised they did advertise more. Maybe next time stay at the back and look on the departure board for when its supposed to depart. Oh yeah and queen street looks so good but its also very dead with one train 🤣

I would use the back guard panel, however due to this route having so so sooo many bugs on the one at the front of the train could actually be used and the rest were not working!

You must stay in your GDing position until the *whole* train has completely left the station, just in case someone falls in the gap between the train and the platform, or someone is dragged over, trapped in the doors... The procedure would be local door opening, checking if everything is safe (mainly that the train is in the correct stopping point), unlock passenger doors that are within the platform (that is why most modern trains are fitted with ASDO (Automatic Selective Door Opening, only used for now with SWR on their Desiro and Juniper (Class 458s) trains, and TPE on their 185s) and SDO (Selective Door Opening, which is a manual version of ASDO, where the driver must choose the length accomodated in the platform), wait for passengers to board, alight, etc), set the ramp if required at small stations/halts, check that the signal is not showing a Danger aspect and that everything is safe to close the doors, close them except his/her local one, so that (s)he can check that all doors are closed and recheck the starting signal if provided, close his/her local door, ding the driver twice, await the same signal from the driver as a "UNDERSTOOD" message, and keep his panel activated while standing at the local door just in case something arises in the PTI (Platform-Train Interface), so that the GD can ding the driver (one bell) to do an emergency braking. After the whole train has left the platform, he/she can shut off the panel and carry on with his normal on-train duties (taking care of the pax, checking tickets...).

Some of the newer TSW content has guard panels so you can use them to pretend to be a guard, however its not the best.
