Hi. Any advise on trying to secure articles and small-medium law firms??? The struggle is real
@asandantini2 жыл бұрын
Hi. I think the best way to go about it is secure funding for articles through the sesseta program and find an attorney who is eligible to take you. That way you approach them with the mind of them not having to pay you. Also, when applying just send emails to firms around your place or city of choice instead of waiting for posts cause most don't advertise.

I don't know if I heard you right but you said you must pay for PLT?
@asandantini Жыл бұрын
Hi yes you have to. Some firms pay for their candidates, but if not you must pay for it

Is it possible to do 6 months PLT and write board exams without articles?
@asandantini8 ай бұрын
Hi yes it is possible. One is allowed to sit for an exam on either after 6 months of articles or or completing the full time PLT

@@asandantini what are the advantages of doing vacation work while you are still studying??
@asandantini2 жыл бұрын
I got to see what practice and court looks like from a perspective of an employee. And it looks good on the CV when looking for articles there's this assumption that you at least have some understanding of what working looks like.

Can you please give me the route of becoming a labour lawyer
@asandantini Жыл бұрын
The route to becoming a lawyer is the same. You just need to do your training with a firm that specialises in what you want to do in order to get the experience you prefer.

@@asandantini I am currently doing my last year in Industrial Psychology, I am thinking of doing postgraduate diploma in labour law...........is it a good idea or I should have done LLB as my undergraduate degree?
@asandantini Жыл бұрын
There are people with legal consultations companies that deal with Labour Matters. The shortcomings they always say is that they cannot appear in Labour Court and other places that require one to be admitted. But some are successful with that, and I think it is with Labour Diploma. I cannot advise on which one to go for because I only have done one route being Llb, and admitted as an Attorney. While in practice and now in house some of my specialties include Labour and Employment Law, both which I am doing in my capacity as an attorney.
