That’s why I hate these kinds of games. When the enemy hits you during your attack it cancels it, but when you hit them mid attack it doesn’t cancel theirs

You just don't have enough poise nore do you do enough poise damage to interupt opponent attacks. With high poise, you can power through A TON of attacks. Amd eith the right weapons, you'll stagger plenty of enemies out of their attacks.

If you want to not be cancelled by enemy attacks you can literally just use fingerprint shield and a pokey weapon and it completly annihilates the entire game

the more armor you wear the less likely they will cancel your attack
