Love how this answers a ton of questions from the show like "why was hunter the youngest golden guard?" "Aren't grimwalkers already grown up when they are born?" Really creative stuff here!

Yeah, I wondered a lot about that (like a lot of other fans) and I came to the headcanon that Belos created Hunter as about toddler age in order to manipulate him better, after he learned that it didn't seem to be working well with the other adult Grimwalkers. --And I actually recently heard that Dana Terrace confirmed that Hunter WAS created as a toddler for that exact reason! :D

I fear I just found out recently that hunter was in fact made as a toddler by belos so he could be manipulated easier. I can't beleive he was literally being molded into what he was when he met him since he was a BABYYY. And him not having his face scar or eye bags when we see him here hits hard, I mean I almost didnt recognize him. He still has his ear nick, probably from scout training? either way this is soo good. You somehow manage to keep everbody in character , even kikimora. Big fan of your art , I can see the amount of effort that went into every frame. You get the micro expressions SO well. Thank you for your efforts

Thank you!!! ☺ Yeah, Hunter isn't as "scarred" (emotionally or physically haha...😅) yet... but wait and see! And yeah, he probably got the nick in his ear from scout training. I considered leaving it out, too, but it honestly wouldn't have looked like Hunter without it (and he's been training and fighting his whole life, so it wouldn't be surprising for him to have some scars). Also, I'm so glad you feel that everyone is in character and that you like the expressions! This project certainly IS a lot of effort, but I'm enjoying it--- and I'm glad you are, too!!

THIS IS AMAZING!!! I’ve always wanted to know more about hunters backstory! The dialogue is so good! idk why that stuck out to me, I just think it’s really well-written. The expressions too! There’s so much you can get across with just a face. I can’t wait to see more!

This is STUNNING, holy crap!!! You had to have put a whole lot of work into creating and editing this length of an animatic, and having it only be part 1! The dialogue feels so in-character that it was practically like I could actually hear everyone speaking. Hats off! I love that even though The Owl House has been over for a while, the fandom is still keeping it alive and making epic banger projects!

Roughly 45 hours total on animation over about 2 months just on this part! I'll admit that it's a little frustrating at times, but for the most part I find animation super rewarding and worth-it! :)
