For those who are unaware belfry luna is a massive DS1 reference, the belfry gargoyles use the same boss theme as the bell gargoyles in DS1 and after you beat the gargoyles the small area beyond the bonfire is a larger mirrored version of the capra demon's arena, it's even filled with dogs reference the two dogs in the original fight

Dude, this video is amazing. I’ve been wanting to see the Heide Sword/Spear for awhile now as they’re available early on and are viable in the endgame. The energy in your videos is infectious and I dig how positive and wholesome you are with your audience. There seems to be a DS2 renaissance on KZbin as of late. Shouldn't be bugged on the console. What is your scenario right now? Bringing all 4 ladies to Majula unlocks the achievement for sure. Malentia Rosabeth Chloanne Licia. You can also bring the stair maker or the sorcery tutor as well. But as far as I know there needs to be 4 ladies in Majula for unlocking that achievement.

About the allone knights and the silver knights, they make the same sounds because of the thematic link between the iron king and Gwyn. The iron king embraced Gwyn’s soul after all, and his hatred of the dark (the undead mainly) manifests in the undead hunters running around the huntsman’s copse (a former holding of Alken, the iron king’s kingdom) Also the flower Sigil on the chloranthy ring is on the floor in smelter demon’s arena, and on the railings in the keep. This is a symbol tied to Gwyn and the old gods of Anor Londo/Lordran

They were in the original and they had guaranteed drop for their weapons and in ng+ they have guaranteed drop for their armor

Fun fact: in the Royal Rat Authority boss fight, you can actually lock on to the two smaller rats on the left from as far back as the fog gate you enter in. Makes sniping the rats with a bow much easier.

I like how in DS2 you can leap attack with a shield one handed from either left or right... because in Eldenring the character is assumed to be right handed like it is in Skyrim but in DS2 its ambidextrous.

This brings back memories. When I played ds2 for the first time I played with heide sword + shield. Needless to say I had way more difficulty to play through the game. I didn't even find both rat bosses and chariot on my first playthrough. Also didnt fight knockoff ornstein, since I never learned how to even approach the dragon in front of his arena.

12:42 you could try powerstancing the lance with the heide greatlance, this one drops from the same heide knight in the gutter who drops the lance but in ng+ unfortunately it isn't a guaranteed drop, so use a backup save

Cool vid! Those weapons were busted! Anyway, the reason why you sometimes get crits as you're defeating a boss is this: someone said that resistances drop when a boss is dying. so, normally, enemies have things that allow then to resist damage in certain ways (like resistances to certain elements, or to status like poison or bleed). one such resistance, probably, is a chance-based mechanic when crits happen occasionally and randomly. as a boss is close to death or is about to do it's death animation, the programming that allows to resistances to crits or statuses, for some reason, turns off, allowing you to deal a final heavy blow to enemies. this happens a lot when i watch Elden Ring playthroughs; folks will use a bleed weapon and struggle to proc a bleed, only to finally get one reliably when the boss dies. whatever. i guess that's how FromSoft programs their games. perhaps this is intentional; you feel very powerful as you fell your foe with a nasty heavy-hitting attack, and maybe they did that to make you feel that way. i don't know.

hey, nice build! I've used Heide weapons quite a lot in pvp when I ran my paladin build - they're great in powerstance and just using sword and spear/lance without powerstancing them, their moveset complements each other very nicely, powerstance is great for absolutely ridiculous damage with leo ring and buffs when countering also WAS THAT A REY MYSTERIO REFERENCE HOLY SHIT

In my first playthrouh of DS2 vanilla I had hard time killing the knights in forest of fallen giants and in honor of him I finished the game with only the Heide weapon whenever I found one

Try Convergence for Elden Ring. It changes a lot of things, making playhroughs much more diverse. It adds teleport system all over map, new coll weapons, spells, bosses, changes map, you need 10 stones for upgrade instead of 96, lews golden seeds, each armor has buff from plain stats to conditional effects. It made me play ER a lot more times

Here's a fun challenge run. Bottom tier bracket soul memory agape ring run. Your limited to like 39700 souls or something like that so currency for upgrades is super limited. You really have to debate where you invest your limited soul pool. I tink it is a fun build that is worth doing at least once. You can avoid the cat ring by having like 24 or 27 vigor and having nothing equipped. You can just survive the majula pit fall. Just don't lose that corpse wit souls or that is lost currency.

heide knight armor is one of the best looking, hard to farm unless you use champions covenant, great hammer (Demons great hammer like) and just use the r2 over head slam to keep them from destroying you. thats the way i did it.
