@@samkelly2175 bro... they were picked because they're bloody amazing actors. And Doctor Who has always been a "woke" series whenever it's been about spreading peace and love to people. Like, NPH is a fucking Broadway actor. Ncuti is is big Britsh theatre actor who's very good at what he does as well. Shit, even if they were picked for the "reasons" you listed. What's wrong with that? You don't want a gay man or a black man involved with Doctor Who? Get your bigotry out of here you twat.

@@samkelly2175yes and no. True the show is pretty woke these days, but Neil Patrick Harris is truely the perfect casting for this, not because he is a homosexual, but because HE IS TRUELY GAY (as in eccentric gay) and he is fun basicly he needs to play every role he has played to be the Toymaker. The Toymaker was already a memorable villain for hardcore fans like me, but putting him back in the mainstream was awesome. I was concerned about Neil's take being too different to Gough's original, and while it was, he definitely made it his own in a way that fits perfectly. Nostalgia tells me that Gough is still my favorite, but Neil's Toymaker is sure giving him a run for his money.
