The Toymaker was already a memorable villain for hardcore fans like me, but putting him back in the mainstream was awesome. I was concerned about Neil's take being too different to Gough's original, and while it was, he definitely made it his own in a way that fits perfectly. Nostalgia tells me that Gough is still my favorite, but Neil's Toymaker is sure giving him a run for his money.

The idea of these beings not bound to the rules of our reality but their own really sets the stakes high for someone like the Doctor who has to stay within the limits or time and space. I´m excited so see if we might see other old villains of the Doctor return. Remember how the Meep said "Wait until I tell the Boss" or the Toymaker´s last words "My legion is coming" which makes me believe that "The Boss" is the one who actually brought the Toymaker back and is gathering various people for some big plan.
